Picard started off with a fascinating concept of what happens after what you’ve followed your entire life isn’t what you remember it being? Sadly, they decided what could have been a fantastic 6-8 episode miniseries with that storyline and having Picard sacrifice himself in the end for the ideals he believed in, making it a three season story, resurrected Picard as a robot, started a second season with some fantastic ideas (but horrid execution) and threw everything of interest aside from seasons 1 and 2 in season 3 for a full-on TNG reunion.

Picard lost me after the ridiculous events of S2. Disco when they went into the future. But I'm with SNW until the end. Even some of the crazier eps are better than the former two series.
Where do you stand on Prodigy and Lower Decks

I still find the cast charming even though I hate these concept episodes and having no season arc makes it easier to just throw on the latest episode when bored.

They did get Ro back, that alone was worth it.

Last night after SNW finished, I wasn't quick enough to the remote and it just started S1E1 of DS9. I wasn't doing anything, so I sat back and thought I'd watch the beginning battle with the Borg where Sisko loses Jennifer.

I ended up watching the whole two-parter.

And it struck me. What I should really do is stop watching anything from this era of Trek and just go back to the old stuff. There is literally no comparison to be made. Quality vs. Crap. Honestly, I'll probably hold my nose and watch SNW through to the end, but I don't expect I'll ever go back to it for a rewatch when its over. In the meantime, I'm considering starting a re-watch of the entire run of DS9.

Funny. My disappointment in SNW has led me to rewatch Battlestar (Ron Moore’s cut). Far far far better than what we are getting.
