Well the Stetson stuff is highly popular. Its actually easier to find new young fans/customers on streaming. Thats what they watch. Live tv isn't in their radar. If a show is exceptional and good young people will flock to it.
In the first season it did well enough to be right up there and even won its time slot a few times. It started to sink in the second season. But even back than with a much smaller U.S. population it had a lot more viewers than any kurtzman trek has ever achieved.
Less choices =more viewers

Indeed. It's an entirely different market so the ratings comparison yields false results because not all factors are considered.
Theres was actually quite a few shows on back than and nearly 3 times the episides per season than we have today. So people had to be choosy as well. Also today streaming of a show is all over the world. So when we in the states are watching a new trek someone in another country probably is. Not true in the 1960s. The population of tge U.S. in the 60s was just slightly over half of what it is today. Star Trek also wasnt shown worldwide until after its cancelation and run. So the potential audience of first run eps was much much smaller than it is today.

If we want Star Trek to return to the 60s it's going to take more than just more viewership. Fan engagement, and finding success praiseworthy over just meh, "it's not it's not like Mom's cooking."
That's how fans talk and they're not encouraging at all.
Not return to the 60s. But there is no reason why it can't be a better and more consistent show.

As has been explained to you multiple times when you've repeatedly brought the viewership numbers up as a way to dunk on the Kurtzman era - the viewing habits of the public are far more niche and way smaller than they were sixty years ago. You can't cherry pick the viewing data to attempt to claim some moral victory in these arguments. You have to evaluate the entire picture.

People showed at least some interest in Disco S1. Later shows are difficult to distinguish from background radiation.
Because ENTERPRISE is considered god tier now.
I loved 1883 and 1923. Im just disappointed there hasn't been an update on the next series in that line
1.) I didn't care about Boyce one way or the other before, only vaguely recalled him from The Cage, and this forum was the main reason I was reminded of him, but this post made me laugh, so now I'm rooting for more "drinks" trivia with him
2.) I salute the massive amount of technical consultancy Jörg or whoever else had to do to provide us with this hard-to-achieve design and result
