And the Next Cancelled Show is...

And it looked like it was fimed live in the late 1960s. My late Mom loved it a lot, and liked to talk about both how cheap it looked as well as how engaging and fun the storylines were. It was 1960s cheese but glorious. She wasn't wrong.

Probably one of their more obscure releases, but Big Finish released a pile of Dark Shadows audios that even managed to get some of the surviving original cast members back (not sure if how much BF was involved in the production - they could have just handled the distribution).

That was one of their earliest non-Who lines and it was entirely their production.

He’s one of the executive producers of the show, and the primary character. Might affect it majorly. As in, canceled, which sucks. I really liked that one. Maybe he’ll get back to Taboo, which was also a fantastic show.

IIRC the soap was filmed live. My ex was a big fan.

I just remembered that everyone lies.

Tootsie 1982.

"Soaps are still filmed live".

American soap operas transitioned from live broadcasting to prerecorded videotape in the 1960s and 1970s, with CBS airing the final live episodes of As the World Turns and The Edge of Night in 1975. Before this transition, episodes were performed and broadcast directly to air daily.

Variety Australia seems confident the show will continue without Hardy:

A third season has not been formally announced at this time, but given the show’s success on the streaming platform it is all but guaranteed. How Hardy’s character would be written out of the series remains to be seen.

Here is a similar take I found:

MobLand has not officially been renewed for Season 3. However, the British crime drama is arguably Paramount+‘s most popular non-Taylor Sheridan show. The Season 1 premiere also broke the streamer’s record for the largest global series launch ever. If Season 2 achieves similar success, Season 3 will likely happen. If that’s the case, Paramount will need to replace Hardy, who stars as fixer Harry Da Souza. Here are three actors who could do the job.
