Baseball 2026: RIP Mr Laser Beam

Cleveland's Parker Messick loses a no-hitter in the top of the ninth, giving up two straight singles. Now the question is can he preserve the win?

So the Angels split a 4 game series in New York…after 2 blown saves in the 9th inning.

Should have been a sweep!

:scream:

Kenly Jansen where are you??

:wah:

On the other hand, Trout hit 5 home runs in a 4 game series.

:techman:

Garret Anderson dead at 53. No cause given yet.

What?

That’s terrible.

He is one of the greatest Angels of all time. Leads the team in many categories.

But this moment will be etched into Angels fans memories forever.

Anderson drives in the winning runs in game 7 of the 2002 World Series.

I’m going to go and get my Anderson jersey on right now.

RIP, GA.

Other sites are saying he had a medical emergency in his home.

I just noticed he was a California Angel, Anaheim Angel, and Los Angeles Angel of Anaheim.

Watching the tributes during the pregame of the Padres/Angels game.

Tim Salmon (who does Angels broadcasts, as did Anderson) was crying. I was crying.

Jeez. For Angels fans, this is a rough one.

I don’t know if he was all that well known outside of So Cal. But I’d argue that, before Mike Trout, he was the greatest player in Angels history.

I always appreciated Anderson's game when the Red Sox were playing against the Angels. He seemed like a pretty stand-up guy from what I've read about him, too.
