Because of her 6 month rule.
Yup, exactly and by Episode 6, she's starting to think maybe she was wrong with the rule, but doing so a smidge late.
Because of her 6 month rule.
I'm going to be interested to see the tone of this week's episode. Because they could attempt go do Family in miniature, concentrating on the post-traumatic stress of dealing with the Furies, or they could just go for a light comedic episode to balance out the downer last week.
Is that the Quantum Tunneling tech from Picard? As is now tradition -

I think Tilly is in the next episode based on the description:Tilly!
I get the impression we may have a Doctor-focused story coming up.
Wow... That description is painful on every single level...I think Tilly is in the next episode based on the description:
"A visiting instructor uses unorthodox methods to help the cadets process their emotions at the academy"

There’s a shot in the new trailer where we see Reno and Tilly toasting a drink with a third person (Ake?). So yeah, they will meet.It will be strange if Reno and Tilly don't get a scene together. Then again Reno and Thok should be getting more scenes together too.

Yeah, I kinda got that impression too. There‘s this one shot where he‘s standing alone at the window looking out all wistfully. I really wonder what kind of story they cooked up for him. There were several hints across the season that made it seem like he‘s become rather weary of life and being so long-lived. I wonder if he‘s maybe contemplating ending his existence? Although I wanna say that would feel a bit too dark for the show.I get the impression we may have a Doctor-focused story coming up.
Why? Because proper Starfleet cadets would just swallow their emotions and hide them like a manly soldier?Wow... That description is painful on every single level...

That’s an interesting thought! And some moments in the trailer could be very indicative of this. There are shots where we see the doctor on a shuttle with SAM. And there’s a shot where it looks like she’s talking to the Kasqians again.I suspect he will go to Kasqia to teach the Kasqians avout Biologics, the Kasq leaders are trying to speedrun the understanding into 3 months (as of 1x05) whereas the Doctor has 800 years of understanding, it would also mean no continued loss of bio-companions.
This would then free SAM up to simply BE.

That seems to be the expectation, yes. Emotions are things to avoid and deny. Why? Because proper Starfleet cadets would just swallow their emotions and hide them like a manly soldier?![]()
