The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

She’s got a bunch in the works right now, including Coogler’s X-Files reboot and Mann’s Heat sequel, which will star (among many others) Leonardo DiCaprio. “There’s a very high degree of difficulty, put it that way — this is a new iteration, but the expectations are very high given the cast of the original,” Mann tells me of the casting process. “But there’s certain qualities we are looking for, and Francine and I both speak the same internal, intuitive language. I’m very grateful for that.”

It's based on a fictional novel and the ship is fictional too. The character in the book is George Krause, inspired by George P. Hunter, while the character in the movie is Ernest Krause.

I didn't know that. So the movie is more inspired from a real life event during the war than that actually being what happened. Either way I do think it will be good. Tom Hanks you can tell loves that kind of material.

How you know where your acting career is: You're doing a voice in Sonic 4.

She's currently the lead in a hugely successful Netflix comedy show that's just finished its second season and has been picked up for a third and she'll next be seen in Violent Night 2, plus she's been doing voice work for most of her career so I think career wise she's doing fine.

Marlon Wayans teases a White Chicks 2 and Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood 2 if Scary Movie 6 is a success.

New rumor for Charlie's Angels is that it's not a reboot, it's gonna be the third installment of the Diaz, Liu, Barrymore movies. You know, since it's the only Charlie's Angels remake that actually made money.

I've never watched the show and have no idea who that it.

He's one of those actors whose heyday was during first-run syndication, so if you knew the show you knew who they were but if you never heard of the show you never heard of them either (Lorenzo Lamas, Adrian Paul, Kevin Sorbo). He was also on that short-lived Witchblade series.

I know it’s always been fashionable to hate on McG but those movies were actually pretty good IMHO.
