Yet another attempt to reboot Blake 7 is underway

Yes, it will be tricky, but for all we know they might not go down that particular route, might not replicate all the characters of the specific dynamics.

They could overdue the snappy dialogue and antagonism, but they could also undercook it and produce something incredibly bland and generic. I'd prefer the former given the choice.

Guess part of the problem is that the interaction between Avon and Blake (or should be Avon and the rest of the universe) was something new and different in the late 1970s but today it's almost a cliche.

Colin Salmon did a fine job as Avon in the reimagined series (still pissed it didn't get a second serious and would love to have seem some visual depictions of the Liberator as described in the series) but he missed the snark that we had with the original but could have been the intent of the writers.

but I've never seen Sally, Jan, Steven, Josette or Glynis in another

Jan was in a few eps in the early seasons of Spooks, Steven was in a small spin off series from The Bill have seen him and Josette in other roles more recently but would have to hit IMDb to refresh the memory (I watch a lot of UK police procedurals and think they've appeared in some of them).

Josette is the one I probably see most often cropping up in current shows/films, closely followed by Steven, which isn't surprising given they're the younglings of the cast, though Glynis is still working also. Steven tends to have fairly minor roles, Josette's tend to be meatier and Glynis has carved out a niche in soaps.

I did point out Josette was in the last Bridget Jones film, but most amusingly there was a hint of Servalan about her  (not that her character was evil, but she was very glamorous, bordering on camp, and she just owned the room whenever she swanned in!)

Sally and Jan still seem both mentally and physically active, Sally at least is still acting I think, or certainly was a few years ago, they both seem to be involved a lot in the extras on the blu-rays

Things have gone very quiet on the Michael front, it's not confirmed but I have heard rumours that he has dementia :(

Brian Croucher is doing well for a man in his mid 80s and still seems to be doing bits and bobs.
