Okay. big miss is the Space Station. They can fortify DS9 to take on a whole fleet, but your weapons development lab/station can't?? And just 1 ship for defense? Federation is getting lazy. ( Or lazy writing again)

Starfleet is recovering, but no where near DS9 era where they apparently had 10s of thousands of ships, where they can lose 700 ships in a battle and continue to fight. I would be surprised if Starfleet in this era has 700 ships. Plus, they are operating in all 4 quadrants. Taking into account Nus Braka, and also the Emerald Chain, this is like the Golden Age of Piracy and the Republic of Pirates in Nassau in the 1700s , where Pirates like Edward Teach could not only operate freely of the US east coast, they actually had mansions in the Carolinas. If they hunted, the closest European warship was days away. Starbase defences, well, they made quick work of that Intrepid class.

I assumed that the initial hostage situation with the "no Starfleet vessels within a light-year" demand was ensure that "capital ships" that could have effectively responded or alerted to the attack on the station to be out of range.

As a geek, that 1 light year annoyed me slightly as I immediately did the math that a 24th century Intrepid class at it's maximum sustained velocity of warp 9.7 could cover the distance in roughly 4.5 hours. So an 800 year later new Intrepid with techity tech should be able to cover the distance in......minutes?

So this episode was a bit better than the first 5. Still a lot of weird logic holes and just plain WTF moments. But I will give them props for trying to make an exciting episode.

I think the Betazoid girl's sideboob was visible in at least one shot in bed.

I don't remember that at all, though I do remember her holding her hand in a very awkward position on Caleb's side in order to ensure her nipple didn't end up in the shot.

Not to mention the earlier scene with her laying flat as a board on top of Caleb. Couldn't figure out for the life of me what position that was meant to be, though maybe Betazoids are built different.

Possibly. I didn't get it from the scene, but I'll watch it again when I get a chance.

That's one of the problems I have with newer Star Trek series - some plot developments don't get the screen time they need to seem plausible to me. That leaves me scratching my head, even though I like the show itself. But that could also be my problem—as a new dad, I mostly watch shows on my phone at inconvenient times these days

You need to get your baby into star trek! Then you can watch it together. Problem solved

They couldn't get enough ships to evacuate Romulus because the Synth attack destroyed the transports they were assembling to do it.

Because assuming a population of even just 1 billion it would have taken 67,000+ Galaxy Class vessels operating at maximum capacity to evacuate the planet...

I went back and rewatched the scene, and there was virtually no sideboob. There was like a single scene where you see a sideboob dangle for like a half second before they fade into a different shot. That's it.

Also helps Zoe is pretty petite, so there's not a lot of boob to be seen from many angles.

We saw more sideboob than this in TOS on the regular. In better lighting. too.

Enough talk about boobs. I’m certainly no prude and am 100% sex positive, but the way it gets all reduced to an actresses’ nipples is making even me uncomfortable. The performers show a little skin and y‘all turn into 14-year olds obsessing over the “camera angles” on “dangling petite sideboobs”. I trust you‘ve all seen breasts before and have now all said your piece. Let‘s do less objectification and focus on other aspects of the episode, alright? Thank you. Since we're on the sex scene, did anyone else notice all those non-matching cuts? They would go directly from shots where Caleb was in underwear to shots where he was wearing pants, and then back again. It's so rare for continuity errors that glaring to end up in anything. I don't know how it wasn't caught.
