I know this doesn't win me any popularity contests around the halls of TrekBBS, but I am a conservative Republican who did, in fact, vote for Trump. Some things I support him on, some things I disagree with him on, but I am most definitely a conservative and I did vote for him. So I'm in the group being discussed here.
That all being said, I can think of few things less interesting to me than going to the theater to see a documentary film about Melania Trump. Heck, even if it were available for free on a streaming platform, there is a zero percent chance I would be interested in watching it.

Melania Trump supports and represents a r*pist of children. No more no less, because that's what her husband represents. No more no less. Once you defend that that's who you are and you can never be anything else. Everything else is a distraction. That's not a political opinion. Politics doesn't even come into play here. Supporting Trump means supporting that.

Just so I am clear here, there is largely no issue with being Conservative. We all have our values. When someone in your party has as much smoke around them as Trump, you should back away from supporting them.
I was in my 20’s when Clinton was POTUS, to this day I still regret voting for him twice. He was a monster in the same vein as Trump. Preying on the simple minded.
At some point, you learn just because they claim to be in your corner, doesn’t mean they have any respect for other humans. There are predators that hide right out in the open. Sometimes we miss them, but we should never support them.
That is a very reasonable position and I can respect that. I also respect that you changed your original reply (which I did see) to that. I assume you thought better of it. I am not being snarky, I really do appreciate you changing it.
That being said, you are not really addressing the original question. The previous poster said that if you support Trump, you support the rape of children. I think that is a pretty indefensible statement and also extremely inflammatory particularly considering others earlier in the thread had just said they supported Trump.
That's why I asked for a direct answer to the question of whether or not, because I posted that I support Trump, he thinks I support the rape of children.
Thank you. I also voted for Clinton twice, and felt similarly about it after the fact. That's not a political opinion either. He's nauseating. A rapist and a manipulator. It's about the person not the politics. As I said, the politics don't even enter into the picture here. That's distraction.
