Melania movie Jan 30

That picture is fucking creepy.

Could you have imagined the Conservative furor if a photo got out like this of Obama or Clinton if it was published during their terms as POTUS?
that's the thing... this is just one, there are others and they aren't hard to find. this stuff wasn't done under a boulder in the middle of the desert. people knew he was creepy as fuck. The guy has openly said he has incestuous thoughts about his daughter. If you know that, and you vote for that, you approve of that on some level. You can't wash that off.

Remember how he bragged about barging in on the dressing room of the young girls participating in the beauty pageants that he sponsored under the guise of being the boss and making sure everything was being handled properly? And how he spoke about being in the room with these half-dressed children and referring to them as "beautiful women"?

At the very, very least, they are okay with child sexual abuse as long as they get what they want.

Which is no less sickening.

At least his attentions were directed to women over 18, but yeah. I love Star Trek, but he's as flawed as any other man from that time.
He had a vision for what humanity could become in the distant future. But he wasn't a man of that distant future, he was a man of the here and now of the 60s and 70s. I've often said that in a universe filled with things like transporters and warp drive, the most unrealistic thing about Gene's vision of the future was his vision of humanity. Himself included.

That said, the vision was the important thing. The art over the artist. Same can be said with Buffy, which is continuing without the involvement of its tainted creator.

CaveTom - don't repeatedly demand people answer your "yes or no question" and then when they do, report the post.

Guy et. al, let's ignore the question from now on.
You would think a moderator here could at least get a member's username correct.

In any event, it is irrelevant. I had been very inactive for a number of years but had returned to attempt to re-engage and had even purchased a premium membership. However, it is clear that this is no longer a place for me. Your moderation decisions have driven that home as much as what the posters here have been saying.

I have no interest in being a part of a community where members think I support child rape and where the moderators think that sort of commentary is okay. Further, it is obvious that conservatives have no place here and that we are not only disagreed with, but actively hated.

I am submitting a request to have my account deleted and I will not be back. God bless, and have a good life.

That happens a lot with images that are saved with odd transparencies, etc.
I had re-saved the image to crop the extraneous border and as a new file format, so you'd think that would be enough. But that said, when I Google Lens the images on the Snopes article those do work so I guess you're right. Weird.

There were plenty of deeply pleasant people from that time. Roddenberry wasn’t the norm. Whilst standards were certainly different, the whole thing shouldn’t be written off as ‘he was a man of his time’. He was, sadly, totally gross in pretty much every respect.

I think this comes pretty close and is creepy

That used to be fine, and it still is some places.
