Plus, it would mean a holodeck is used to help correct a huge narrative mistake made by another holodeck.

They could also just have Daniels use a temporal transporter to grab him from the past.Yeah, that would probably the easiest way to do it. Hopefully they would find a way to craft a story around the appearance that meaningfully interweaves the character into the premise of the show instead of just being a quick cameo for our characters to gawk at.
Maybe an episode where in a moment of crisis Lura Thok visits the holodeck to seek his advice. It shall be a valentine to the fans.

The Janeway hologram meanwhile off in space has her eyes turn red and starts to repeat "Must kill all transporter accidents. Must kill all transporter accidents" She inputs some commands on a console to her ship and it heads off into the direction of this Daniels/Daniels hybrid.
I believe they aren't watching. It accounts for why the ratings are getting lower. Its a shame really. I really wish they would have replaced Kurtzman and his team. They've had their time. Good news is this might torpedo the year one show. I couldn't imagine this team doing 4 years of kirks adventures.

Most people don't know this but whenever new episodes of Starfleet Academy drop, billions of fans across the globe refuse to watch and instead turn their tv and computers off and all the lights in their home to replicate the darkness of the sets of Picard season 3. They sit quietly in the dark for about a hour, praying for the day Matalas will return to save Star Trek.

It is already renewed for season 2, in fact they should be done filming in the next week or so
Season 2 is already locked. I have my doubts we will see a season 3 even if the show is somewhat successful. New people in charge and all that and them wanting to bring in their own people with their own vision of what to do with Trek. For it to get a season 3 I think it can't just be a modest hit. It has to be a massive hit.
