I hate to say it but can we talk about the Starfleet Academy show than the behind the scenes of every other show?
Wider the subject, the more people who are engaging in it.
yeah. Just like when they changed the Trill look , because Odan's look in TNG didn't work on Terry Farrell when they tried the makeup on her.
I agree, I'm glad they changed it for Zoe. Shes easily one of the standouts in SFA , but i like the whole cast
Because she was allergic to the makeup used for the forehead prosthetic.
People have been complaining about just about every post-TOS show:
TNG: "What's a Frenchman doing with a British accent? There can be no Trek without Kirk and Spock! The ship is ugly!"
DS9: "It's too dark! The show doesn't go anywhere!"
VOY: "Seven sux! She's taken over the show! Janeway's a lunatic!"
ENT: "Where are Kirk and Spock? Trek begins and ends with TOS!"
Disco: "Spock doesn't have a sister! The crew cries too much! What's with the Klingons? Kurtzman ruined them!"
LDS: "Trek won't work as a comedy! It's Rick and Morty crossed with Trek!"
Picard: "Where's the rest of the Enterprise-D crew? People don't smoke in the 24th century! Why is Seven in Starfleet? It's out of character for her!"
SNW: "Pike should be a captain, not a therapist! What's with all the camp?"
Starfleet Academy is the latest in a series. There are people who won't be satisfied with anything less than Trek endlessly regurgitating forty-year-old tropes.

Voy was the newest show when i joined the fandom, and i am glad social media wasn't a thing then. I remember the letters column in my Star Trek magazine: 'A female captain? This is NOT TREK ! Where are the familiar races? Delta quadrant is not my trek!' etc
I've sat through a lot of these Holy Wars.
#TeamKes has never quite forgiven Rick Berman for giving her the heave-ho.
I wonder if Admiral Vance has eaten a real apple yet?

To be fair, like with Commander Sinclair over on Babylon Five, it was good to protect the actor's privacy.
For some reason, I'm now picturing Admiral Vance lying on the ground like Sam Neil's character in Red October saying "I would have liked to eat a real apple."

I hope the War College doesn't get dissolved into Starfleet like the MACO. They've gotten into a bad habit with the franchise of not keeping new elements. They just recycle old ones.
Spock can help with that, but he might have a scottish accent.

i just never thought of star trek starfleet academy being woke
to me in my opinion the show was more like a teen sci fi drama lol

It can be both woke and a teen drama. A lot of teen dramas are "woke" Woke isn't a genre. Riverdale was woke. Harry Potter is woke. Percy Jackson is woke
Makes you wonder if Section 31 still exists in the future. I mean if things got as bad as they keep saying then it makes sense they would not only keep Section 31 but not even have it be something that operates in the secret. At least not compared to how it operated during DS9 time.
