Case in point, Zephram Cochrane appearing on ENTERPRISE from FIRST CONTACT.Even people who don't like a particular show may consider offhand references that show made to be acceptable, regardless of their original source.

It still hinged on fans liking DIS S2 to gather support. It was not a sure thing.
NCIS is still doing it.Not sure I'd want to see the actors' images alongside their names in the titles, (it's a bit 80s)
I don't think there's ever been a show which has put an image of the producers in the credits. Also the 47 Executive producers would all want their faces in there as well.
Which aren't insurmountable. After all, the theme for Picard in the first two seasons is a tune created specifically for The Inner Light. If it were up to me I'd use the Federation anthem from DS9 as a theme but that would involve royalty complications.
It is? The only part of Picard's main theme that I recognised from anything else was a few notes of the TNG theme, played on flute as a homage to the Inner Light but I don't hear any of the Inner Light's score in it.Which aren't insurmountable. Jay Chattaway was even listed in the credits of Picard's first two seasons for his work on that tune.It is? I never noticed that before, I wonder why they chose to incorporate that instead of the main Inner Light theme. Still really cool though, I thought the Chattaway credit was because part of the TNG theme was used.Jay Chattaway was even listed in the credits of Picard's first two seasons for his work on that tune.
Way too many Archers in the cast: Archer, his wife, three biological kids and one adoptive kid. Down on including Sarek. (18 and already in the diplomacy game???) Up for Stashwick’s character.A bit of creative fun that popped up on my Yt feed based on the Trek: United premise ...
(this is totally fan based, not an actual thing in development)
You're going to have to check with Susman on that, he's the one who gave the series premise info to the guy who made the video.Way too many Archers in the cast: Archer, his wife, three biological kids and one adoptive kid. They want people to keep watching.I don't think there's ever been a show which has put an image of the producers in the credits.
If I knew Mike, I’d definitely be giving notes. You're going to have to check with Susman on that, he's the one who gave the series premise info to the guy who made the video.
All the characters talked about are in the pitch that Sussman & Bakula presented to Paramount a couple of years ago.
So which 'fanwank' is better, yours or Sussmans? If I knew Mike, I’d definitely be giving notes.
That said. I get they want a West Wing vibe, but Bartlet family drama isn’t why folks tuned in. We were there for CJ, Toby and Josh as much as Jed. I’m not seeing “staffer energy” in the STU line up. If the show is “Star Trek United” they need more aliens, but not more Vulcans. Why can’t the adoptive son be an Andorian or a Tellerite? And if we’re fan servicing, why not Director of Federation Security Malcolm Reed, Foreign Secretary Hoshi Sato, Surgeon General Phlox or Chief of Staff Travis Mayweather

Jay Chattaway didn't write any part of the TNG theme. He first worked for the show in the third year.I never noticed that before, I wonder why they chose to incorporate that instead of the main Inner Light theme. Mine of course, because it's mineSo which 'fanwank' is better, yours or Sussmans?
It was a pitch to get in the door with Paramount, it's anybody's guess as to how it would have actually played out once in production.

. Truth be told I'd rather not see the other. Enterprise characters in United. But also don't like half the cast being Archer's relatives. Unless they want to call it "Star Trek: Archer.Ahh it's all making sense nowJay Chattaway didn't write any part of the TNG theme. He first worked for the show in the third year.
