And the Next Cancelled Show is...

But in this case I think their was some delay. Some of it was impacted by COVID but my impression is most of this show along with Ironheart was the shows were ready to go for awhile. Also I got to think them doing Daredevil and then doing reshoots must have factored into this. Also some impact from shows made under Chapek.
The show began development in June 2022, so there wouldn't have been any COVID related delays. Looking over the show's Wikipedia page, development was interrupted due to the strike in 2023 and some indecision following Marvel's shift to doing their streaming shows with a multi-season approach as opposed to single season miniseries they had mostly been, and indeed Wonder Man had originally been conceived as. So while it may not have had the smoothest development, the issues it faced were the result of an industry wide shutdown and restructuring done at the studio as a whole with nothing specific to this show itself. Making it inappropriate to declare it a doomed failure just because its airdate has been postponed by a month.

One problem though is their has been very little publicity or hype in trying to get people excited for it and I noticed they are going to drop all the episodes on the same day. Usually the kiss of death these days and it sort of shows the studio doesn't have much confidence in it. Shows they think will work they try and drag out as long as possible.

It's still three months away and there is a trailer. How much more publicity and hype is there supposed to be at this point? TV shows don't typically get as much promotional lead time as movies do. Indeed, I think Wonder Man has its first trailer earlier than Daredevil Born Again or Ironheart did.

Source? Wikipedia, IMDB and Futon Critic only have an airdate for the premiere with no information concerning the other episodes.

Oh, stop it, both of you. There hasn't been any major delay (there's only ever been one firm release date and it was pushed back a mere month) and gods forbid Marvel does something different. Is that not what all of its detractors have been begging for?

Please spare us with that crap.
Filming began on April 5, 2023, and finished in April 2024. So, yes, there was no postponement.

It was in the recent trailer were they said all the episodes would be dropped on the same day.

It doesn't as far as I can see.

It says _AN_ Eight Epidode Series, not _ALL_.

Your right. I misread that when I saw it. Wouldn't be surprised though if they do drop all 8 or do what they did with Braveheart and sort of release it over two nights. Not sure why else they would specify 8 unless it's to let people know it's not the even more dreaded number of a 6 episode season.

Does Scotland have a Chicago?
