Been a while, but I think the one where we first met Jett Reno, the shuttle was crashing....Not sure if it counts.Discovery never did one?
Discovery had a shuttle crash episode with Tilly and the cadets. Will this be our very first "shuttle crash episode" of the modern Trek era!?
Maybe.True. Even just looking at Trek it’s kind of a staple at this point. Off the top of my head we have:
“Arena”
“Darmok”
“The Enemy”
“The Ascent”
“Waltz”
“Dawn”
Maybe this’ll be another entry?

Maybe.
This show's One Neat Trick is that, for better or worse, whatever you expect of an episode going in it'll probably turn out to be a bit of something else.
Ortega has been a great breakout character for SNW - which means they'll get rid of her like Hemmer. I'd have preferred him to Peila.
Hemmer was only ever there to die.
That was actually a crashed starship. I know, I'm only splitting hairs.Been a while, but I think the one where we first met Jett Reno, the shuttle was crashing....Not sure if it counts.
Why? Different character, created for a different reason. Is Pelia going to die too?
Oh, that. They were flying one-man pods to get through the asteroid field. During the flight, Enterprise science officer Connelly began arrogantly mansplaining things and ended up crashing his pod and dying. That was Reno's old ship. But I could have sworn they took the shuttle in...due to the debris and the asteroids....and plot and it kinda crashed amongst the debris. But I might not be remembering it right. I'm not up for a rewatch![]()
I was exclusively listing episodes where a “character is stuck on an planet with an enemy”. So no, “Shuttlepod One” would not fit that bill. And neither would “Brother” or “All Is Possible” for that matter.Enterprise: Shuttlepod One, probably one of the better of both the "shuttle disaster" trope and Enterprise overall.
If they were going to do that it would have happened already.which means they'll get rid of her like Hemmer.
He was an odd duck of a blue shirted redshirt. Why he felt the need to bring up that his roommate at the academy was half Caitian in the middle of his pissing contest I have no idea.Oh, that.
