It is damned time we see a great version of Brainiac. The character is Superman's number 2 nemesis and we've never had a decent live on screen version.

As for Luthor, the last few decades (both on screen in Smallville and in the comics) have shown the character works best as a foil for Superman rather than an outright villain. The last attempt to make him a full villain during the lead up to Death Metal was contrived and came out of left field in the comics continuity. (I blame editorial for that.) Luthor works great as a character who is driven by his own ego and his own motivations and desires, but who is not an outright villain. To me, he is a member of Clark/Kal's supporting cast. On screen, I would love to see Houlton return as Lex in that capacity.

Here’s a fun item: Corenswet’s Superman audition (one of them, anyway). It contains what is presumably an early version of the interview with Lois; the dialogue is almost entirely different, and it seems to me a little more comedic. It’s also considerably shorter, unless it was cut down for audition purposes. I’m linking it because it’s one of those YouTube videos where embedding is disabled.

ETA: Except the forum software displayed the link as an attempted embed anyway. Obviously, you can just click through to see it.

I barely remember watching that series. It seems to me that Brainiac was well done--but that wasn't a Superman show.

Animated Brainiac on Harley Quinn was fabulous, but you said Live Action. :(

CW Brainiac 8, looks a lot like Smallville's Supergirl. ;)

That was a fantastic featurette. Really digs into the uniqueness of the Justice Gang and its weird (for the better) members.

While I knew about Anthony Carrigan's alopecia, I don't think I knew Christopher Reeve also had it (or if I did, I forgot because of my shitty memory). I love that Carrigan connected with Reeve in that way and now he's in his own Superman film. :D

Didn't know that about Reeve, either. I don't think that was in the recent documentary. But, I presume, this would fit him going bald in his last few years.
Anyway, I also love that during the interview portions Carrigan is wearing a shirt with the periodic table on it.

I don't think any one's mentioned the The Justice Gang in Peacemaker, since the episode actually aired?

Where they interview Peacemaker was mostly in the teaser for the show, but here is where it get's gritty...

The multiverse.

They Orwelled the Season One Justice League Cameo from 2 years ago into a Justice Gang Cameo, which makes it look like Peacemaker was away part of the DCU and never the DCEU.

It does mean that Season 1, or season Two, depending on your perspective, is about a different dude.

I knew about Reeve’s alopecia but was surprised to hear Carrigan mentioned it. Though I should not be. It’s not mentioned much. But obviously he would feel a connection that way.

He had to wear a wig in almost all his Superman movies. I think it was only dyed in original. Of course the alopecia did not help with coloring his hair. He was never completely bald but had uneven patches. Which the wigs hid. After the accident he eventually decided to have it completely shaved off.

It's hardly just me, plenty feel that if Ledger hadn't died he wouldn't have been awarded for that role.

Oh, but all the stuff we had to take from FoX-Men fans and Nolanites was A-Okay?

Continue to double-down on your homophobic / obsessive DC hate conspiracy theories. Its working wonders for you.

...but you can be anything you want in the Land of Make Believe.

:bolian:

Whatever this off-topic debate is, please keep it to TNZ.

Gunn gave an interview with TV Insider where he said, if given the time and money, he would, "George Lucas the shit out of first season," in order to bring it more in line with the new DCU.
So, just as Don Cheadle replaced Terrance Howard as Rhodey in Iron Man, we now have to accept that Peacemaker's first season took place in the DCU and not the DECU.

In the Venn diagram of cinematic universes, Peacemaker season 1 exists in that space between the DCU and the DCEU. And that's perfectly fine.

Just think of it as the broad strokes happened in both continuities, but not all of the finer details line up.

Yeah, that line of thinking fits perfectly with a comics universe.
