The Down Under Lounge

4 Corners has a great episode about Iran on right now,how women are leading the revolution there. If you've missed it, watch it on iView. It's good stuff. Brave women.

Is Australia fucking stupid?

We are giving away half the gas we mine and then paying for it by importing it. What the actual fuck?

I am hoping someone might be able to help me with the meaning of a piece of slang.

I was listening to the ABC coverage of the Australia vs SA T20 match. One of the commentators explained the absence of someone by saying they were "on the tweak".

My Dinkum dictionary gives nothing, my seach engine went all coy and experienced a "difficulty" looking for the expression (yikes!! when I removed the brackets, I got results for the "normal" uses of "tweak"). Partridge tells me a "tweak" is a whore (which would a bit...unusual...as a remark by a sports commentator on the radio) or someone who is good at sport (doesn't fit the context).

Can anyone explain the expression?

it's possible that could have been some sort of abreviation that sounds like tweak when pronounced.

or maybe it's a new term that's come out in the past 16 years because it's not one I know.

Can you recall who the player was? a web search might give an answer without resulting in NSFW results.
