There is a lot more to the show than just the sitcom stuff, so if you can tolerate it long enough to get the other stuff I'd say go for, but if you really can't stand them, you might be better off just reading a recap or the characters' bios on the MCU Wiki.
It does flesh out Monica's backstory regarding her anger toward Carol.

Don't listen to everyone. The only Disney plus show you need to watch is the brilliant "Secret Invasion."

Your sarcasm about quality notwithstanding, that's actually on my list.

I've also just decided that if I can talk myself into rewatching Spider-Man: Far From Home - a movie that I really don't like - solely because its post-Credits Stinger is relevant to Fury's story, it's only fair to likewise talk myself into watching WandaVision for its relevance to Monica's story even though I'm not all that enthused about its Sitcom narrative framing.

That sitcom stuff really only dominates the first two episodes. It continues after that, but the story starts to focus much more on a wider story. At least you'll get a bit of a lesson as to what older sitcoms were like.

If you're seriously considering watching Secret Invasion regardless of its poor (and earned) reputation, but you're still wavering on WandaVision (and its excellent reputation) despite everything everyone in this thread has said about your one hang-up about the show, then there's no helping you.

We really have no idea yet how much Vision Quest will depend on having seen WandaVision.

The exact extent, no, but it is a show about Vision so the nature of his resurrection, his loss of memories and the extreme change to how he experiences emotions will almost certainly have to be a liitle relevant. Unless it randomly turns into a prequel, which almost certainly won't happen and if it did might make WV even more relevant as there doesn't seem to have been any significant period of time in his life where Wanda wasn't a major part of his life (until he died).

Quality is subjective.

With that said, I'm not actually wavering any more.

WandaVision is now officially on my Disney+ Watchlist , and I'll be starting it in a couple of weeks.

:bolian:

I'm not really a big fan of The Twilight Zone, either.
Which version?

I've been trying to watch the Marvel movies I've missed over the last few years and I watched Eternals last night. Maybe this movie did get a lot of hate but I thought it was pretty average and a little too long. If there is one movie that would have benefited from being a series it might have been this one. I doubt any of those cliffhangers will be paid off which is a bit of a shame.
