What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

Disappointing but not a surprise considering the lack of promotion around Malkovitch after the first teaser. I'm guessing there's an extended prologue about the Fantastic Four and their role in this retro universe and I imagine his sequence made it too long and unwieldy. A shame but hopefully his sequence is released in the future, maybe even released as a One-Shot short.

It seems like a good decision for pacing purposes. I was wondering how they were going to include the "history" of the FF that was rumored. The shorter, the better, on backstory I think. All we need to know is they got their powers, saved people, became celebrities.

That said, from a personal perspective, I'd probably pay for an Extended Cut BluRay if the movie is good.

He doesn't look very Punisher in those photos. Hope they're not doing a coming-out-of-retirement story yet again.
Complete the old and tired trope off shaving of the beard to show he's ready to go. Let heroes have awesome beards, damnit!

That's my singular complaint about Endgame.

Informal poll time:

I'm currently doing a "character series" watch of MCU stuff focused on the 'big 4' from The Marvels (Carol, Fury, Kamala, and Monica), but am undecided as to whether or not I should include WandaVision based on the fact that it introduces adult Monica and is the 'origin point' of her powers.

My hesitation on this is twofold - 1) I don't really like sitcoms, and I know that WandaVision's narrative is heavily framed around and filtered through that lens, and 2) I eventually want to do a "character series" focused specifically on Wanda, Vision, and related characters like Agatha Harkness - but since I'm still undecided, I figured I'd ask others' opinions, so here we go:

"Should I include WandaVision in a Marvels Character Series? Yes or No"

Hardly anyone has actually answered the question I was asking, which is not whether or not I should potentially watch WandaVision at all (despite my dislike of sitcoms), but whether or not I should potentially watch WandaVision because of its status as an introduction to the adult version of Monica or instead wait to potentially watch it later as preparation for the release of Vision Quest.

Not unless you want to be entertained.

Sitcoms hold very little entertainment value for me, personally, and so the fact that WandaVision's narrative is specifically framed through the lens of that entertainment medium and genre is a significant reason for me not to just go ahead and watch it, and the only reason I'm even entertaining the idea of changing my mind on that front is the fact that its events introduce the adult version of Monica and serve as the origin point for her powers.

It's a sitcom by way of the Twilight Zone.

There is a lot more to the show than just the sitcom stuff, so if you can tolerate it long enough to get the other stuff I'd say go for, but if you really can't stand them, you might be better off just reading a recap or the characters' bios on the MCU Wiki.
