The first video is praising nerdrotic. I didn't watch the second yet.

I looked at nerdrotics channel. He has a ton of subs and views. He seems pretty successful. Looks like he's just an opinionated nerd like the rest of us. Lol
Clearly, I hit the wrong link. Geeks and Gamers is just as much of a piece of despicable trash as Nerdrotic and equally worthy of avoiding all cost. Anyone who uses the word "woke" as a pejorative is trash and a person not worth taking seriously as an adult on any level.

James Gunn Said ‘Superman’ Is Not About the Middle East; It’s Still Sparking Debates...Over an Israel-Palestine Connection

Gunn addressed the matter before “Superman” even opened in theaters. A few days before release, the writer-director told The Times of London: “When I wrote this the Middle Eastern conflict wasn’t happening. So I tried to do little things to move it away from that, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the Middle East. It’s an invasion by a much more powerful country run by a despot into a country that’s problematic in terms of its political history, but has totally no defense against the other country. It really is fictional.”

There has been a 513% surge in Google searches for 'adopt a dog near me', and a 163% surge in 'rescue dog adoption near me'.

Unfortunately a lot of these impulse adoptions will result in getting rid of these dogs at a later date. The 101 Dalmatian movies led to an increase in dalmatian adoptions by people who had no idea what owning a dalmatian entailed. There were also a lot of pandemic adoptions where the owners got rid of the dogs once they had to return to work.

The people who believe it is political, will continue to believe it is political for as long as the conflict lasts. Then they'll quickly forget it.
It is such a common problem, it really doesn't matter when the movie was released there would have been a conflict somewhere that was similar. In the movie it appeared to be an ex-Soviet nation attacking a South Asian nation.

After looking it up, I discovered that both nations have comic book counterparts. I'm always impressed with the deep cuts the shows and movies make. Jarhanpur was apparently featured in a Supergirl episode from the recent television series. In the comics, Boravia first appeared in Superman #2 and Jarhanpur first appeared in an issue of JLA from 2002 (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/DC_Comics_Database).

Boravia is a country in the Alps and Superman threatened to kill a bunch of negotiators between warring factions within the country if they didn't come to an agreement. So they quickly signed an accord and Superman saved the day in true Golden Age fashion.

It’s not an “issue.” That’s dignifying and legitimizing such people’s BS far more than it deserves.

Him and his little cabal try to come across as caring about movies and television getting better but listen to any of their group discussion videos and you'll start to hear toxic and racist comments.

I decided to watch the nerd guys video talking about the movie. I had to skip a lot so I wouldn't be spoiled but he didn't love the movie and said that it wasn't woke. He gave it a 5 out of 10.

His reasons were with story issues. He wanted more superman. He felt it had to many heroes. But he thinks it will do well most likely. He doesn't want the film to fail because he thinks there are some good things in it that other DC movies can follow. It was a long video and I didn't watch it all.

Damn, the Snyderbro's are out in force on social media, pulling up Gunn social media postings from a decade or so ago trying to pin pedophile on him and other monikers.

God forbid we get a fun Superman movie, showing him as human as possible and even making an occasional quip or one liner. That the movie had a fantastic launch weekend and buzz is super positive about the movie must be hitting them hard as everybody but them is moving on from the Snyderverse.

And i simply love the conservative rage about the movie, it hurts when you have a character who simply wants to do good and not use his power to dominate. For some reason ( and we all know the reason) this drives them mad, calling the movie woke or political when it's anything but.

There's a fight between Snyder fans abd Gunn fans? Oh my gosh. That is ridiculous.
Also are those two groups political or is the political crap separate? The movie is not woke or political according a lot of reviewers. Is this just from people who haven't seen it? Also why are grown adults placing this much significance on a superhero movie? This is so dumb.

Where have you been for the past 12 years? There’s a fight between Snyder fans and everybody.

I suspect much of the hardcore Snyder crowd tends to lean in a certain political direction. It’s not a 1:1 thing, but a Venn diagram would likely show significant overlap. His films are not explicitly political, but they do reflect certain “values” that appeal to a particular political bent — the celebration of power, the validation of selfishness. (The latter, especially, is why his movies are often seen as Randian.)

Yeah, Sci Fi and franchise fans fighting amongst each other about whose franchise is better? That's a new one, haven't heard of that ever ;)

I don't think Snyder fans are political as such, this is not the issue. It's just the general political climate where everything is becoming political because someone needs attention and rile up people. This is a non-issue but that has never stopped people from instrumentalizing otherwise harmless stuff and eithet twisting it to suit their narrative.

The movie is completely apolitical, it doesn't have any agenda left of right. It simply presents a fun, hopeful and above all heartfelt superhero character fighting against evil forces while trying to help people. That is all and i must say it is refreshing to have such a neutral movie even though i consider myself liberal Hollywood can be sometimes a bit much with their agendas.

They need to be countered with how one of Snyder's best movies was actually written by James Gunn.

I had to check and since i don't like horror movies i haven't seen Dawn of the Dead, so i can't comment.

However i'm no big fan of Snyder. 300 was very cool but then again he just transformed the comicbook to the screen though he did that very well i will say.

His style gets old fast though, the constant slow motion action scenes soon start to grate and please keep him away from the writers room - Rebel Moon was just complete shit ( didn't even make it through the whole movie and i would have been pissed if i had paid money to see it). Now every director has a certain style, Gunn is one of the masters of using pop music to set a mood but it just works and doesn't get old. This together with his understanding and ability to find the heart and core of characters and build his story around that makes him the perfect candidate to helm the DCU.
