Picard film in development

*In my head canon, I have Cullen Bohannon as an ancestor to Christopher Pike.

Thankfully, I don't feel the same way.

So, the franchise would rather do another Trek film featuring an almost 85 year-old Stewart as Picard, rather than even consider doing a movie featuring any of the characters from shows other than TNG.

Which is why it is my head canon. ;)

Shows just how little penetration post-TNG Trek has among the general population.

We’ve never had any official confirmation that CBS/Paramount have any interest in a Picard movie at all. Literally the only thing we know is that Stewart said that ‘somebody’ gave him a script. And that was over a year ago and we haven’t heard anything more about it since.

As I said before, people give Sir Patrick lots of scripts. He's an actor. It's how he chooses what to work with. (He doesn't have to audition anymore.) Doesn't mean it ever becomes anything, the scripts are often in various stages of development. It's entirely possible there was a script, he said he'd probably be interested and then the whole project was scrapped before anything else happened. Normal for the industry.

Yeah ST:VOY Future Tense sure showed a post Eugenics War torn world of 1996...oh, wait...
(And NONE of the VOY characters seemed surprised.)
Yes, but everyone acts like no war is going on when entire populations are being bombed out. You know, annihilation happens all the time and is barely worth commenting on.

People would be surprised just how immense some actor's collections of submitted-but-rejected and/or unproduced scripts are. Anthony Quinn had a good chunk of 'em in his archival papers at Cal State LA.

Don’t be daft. You get the point I was making.
No need to be insulting.

I was nothing the differences in the conflict and also they I at least see either newspapers or bumper stickers discussing some aspect of Ukraine.

LA was just ...LA of the 90s.

Being deliberately obtuse is its own form of insult. But no hard feelings; I have a thick skin.
