Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

Well if the Mandoverse is heading for a quasi 'Heir to the Empire' type conflagration, then I could see Jod Silvvo the Mad Dash Crimson Captain filling somewhat of a Talon Karrde type role. That is, an underworld leader who rallied an alliance of pirates and smugglers to help in some capacity or another to finish off Thrawn's Imperial Remnant (and make a huge stack of cash in the process.)

So after some pondering I will rate Skeleton Crew quite high overall.

Mandalorian S1 & S2
Andor S1
Ahsoka S1
Skeleton crew
Book of Boba Fett
The Acolyte
Mandalorian S3
Obi Wan Kenobi.

It pains me to rate Kenobi so low, there were many things I liked. The whole discussion "I am not your failure Obi wan..." is one of my favorite lines in Star Wars, whoever they hired for young Princess Leia nailed the role, and Ewan McGregor nailed his role as well, but there are just to many flaws in the show over all.

At the end of it all, Jod is in the same place he was in when the kids found him. Beaten (and he knows it) with nowhere to escape to, so he'll bide his time and wait for the Force to provide for his next move, as it did before.

Zero desire to see Jod outside of the context of this show.

I can't stand all the dumbass connections that Filoni and Favreau keep springing. It's hacky in the extreme. Let each show be its own thing.

Is Jod the first person we've seen in canon that is a Force user, but is decidedly NOT a Jedi or Dark Side user? (I don't really count broom boy since was still young the only time we've seen him, and could possibly become a Jedi later on.) I mean, he's a pirate first, and just uses the Force as a tool. Seems like there should be a lot more people in that category, especially since the purge.

It's supposed to be one big happy continuity, not The Twilight Zone.

No. Having an occasional cameo is fine. But every piece of material should stand on its own, not be a stupid parade of forced reference, callbacks and endless cameos.

If you can't create compelling characters with meaningful stories and are forced to rely on pulling in elements from other parts of the franchise, you frankly suck at your job.

Chirrut from Rogue One. Bendu from Rebels.

It would be so cool if he and Baze make an appearance in season 2 Andor. Even just briefly in the background. Cassian walks by a cantina and inside your hear. "...and I'm at one with The Force."

I actually disagree with the consensus that Chirrut was a Force user. I just think he got VERY lucky. Besides, if he was an overt Force user he would definitely try to become a Jedi, so he doesn't fit in the "Force as just a tool and not his main thing" category.

Bendu.... is in a category of his own. :D
