I am SO DONE with the idea of staying up past midnight on New Year's Eve.

ing special about a new YEAR?
And what the FUCK does "Auld Lang Syne" mean?![]()
According to Doctor Who it means for old friendsI mean, that's easily Google-able. It's a phrase in the Scots language that translates literally as "old long since", but means something along the lines of "times long past".
Speaking as one who's been branded, threatened or castigated for the most trivial misunderstandings imaginable for almost three years now, I understand your fury. It seems like the vast majority of the alleged good people are taking the day off permanently. So done with people. My mom and I were trying to order a pair of meatball subs at Subway and the lady upfront was being a lazy, entitled ass.

I've discovered in the three years working behind the counter that customers with exceptionally high end/fancy cars expect to be treated differently than those who own a basic run of the mill car.
The beauty of the United States. At least once a week, I checked in customers who had just moved from Texas to escape the political climate as well as the heat.
I've encountered as many assholes under the poverty line as way above it.Please forgive my language... but the observation that "assholery is directly proportional to wealth" is not really a new one. Sure, it might not hold in all cases, but as a maxim is seems to be borne out more often then not.

A Stoic quote I just read seems apt: "It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor.”

Update: I can't file a complaint because I'm not a minor anymore and it's my mom, if I was a minor or if she called a friend then it was breaking doctor patient confidentiality. So I just called the reception to remove my mom's phone number, nobody calls my mom about my medication without my permissionI feel you @Kraig, something similar happened to me. I take the same medication for 10 years now, no problems until now. I went to see a doctor last Friday, no prescription because my doctor wanted to consult with a psychiatrist about my medication.
She called him, and even though he assured her that I needed that medication I still didn't get a prescription. She gave me a new appointment today and I had to bring her all my sleep medication which are four different kinds, they are necessary because otherwise I suffer from amnesia.
Because my autistic brain doesn't make enough melatonin! And that's something scientific research proved! Anyway I gave her my pills and she starts talking about lessening my pills, I argue with her said I needed I needed it, said it's proven that my autism makes less melatonin, no dice.
She gave me a prescription and I had to give all my sleeping pills I got plus the ones that I would buy to the reception, and I had to go each day to the reception to get my pills for the night. I was like that ain't gonna happen you self-righteous, insufferable, arrogant bitch!
So I went to the reception, filed a complaint, cancelled my next meeting with her and asked for a different doctor. She made me feel like a was a junk
Eta: that doctor called my mom, I'm so going file a complaint for doctor patient confidentiality
Um, why can't you file a complaint? Unless your a minor, you have say in your health care information being distributed or not, regardless of blood relationship.Update: I can't file a complaint because I'm not a minor anymore and it's my mom, if I was a minor or if she called a friend then it was breaking doctor patient confidentiality.
