Things that frustrate us all

A lot of manuals are online now. There's no physical copies.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Prius didn't have one.
My Fords came with owner's manuals and supplements. I also download the online version. It is easier to search, and there may be version changes, making the information more up-to-date.

Got an obvious scam call pretending to be a business that doesn't even provide service in my area. The kind of call they were claiming to be, no business would ever make such a call and the phrasing they used to offer me a big discount was just off. But I guess people do fall for it otherwise they wouldn't be doing it.

UPS marked my package as delivered when it was a handoff to the post office. So it freaked me out for a moment thinking that they had misdelivered because that receiving name wasn’t me.

Drove to the city for a venipuncture, had an appointment, the doors to the Lab were locked. I have made a new appointment for Friday, for all the good it will do.

Has a guy yesterday who was cursing a foul-mouthed storm in a public place, while children were around. He was drinking form a plastic bottle and I think alcohol was in it and that he was drunk. I don't think there was a call being made, I think it was all in his head.

He was asked to stop. He stopped for a few minutes. Then he started again. then, suddenly, unprovoked and no one talking to him, he sucks up spit, turns around and spits on the carpet.

A staff member see this, comes over, and in really poor wording tells him he has to leave, then has to tell him again in better wording. the guy starts cursing at him, starts spitting more.

The person in charge comes over, telling him he has to leave, he turns around and tries to spit on her, but misses her. Security is called. the guy is cursing and spitting all over the place on his way out.

He didn't get trespassed!

So, we have a homeless guy who drinks a lot of alcohol. He comes in drunk. Didn't used to. Stumbles around, falls asleep, can't really communicate like he used to when he was sober.

So for a month now he has been peeing on the floor at the urinal. This is, of course, atop him spitting out chewing tobacco into the urinal (one time he sneezed the chewing tobacco all over the urinal and left it).

So, these passed two weeks it doesn't look like anything of the wee is going into the urinal, he's just peeing all over the floor at the urinal. And, as an added bonus, he's peeing on the bottom of his pants and all over his shoes. And his shoes are a type of material that adsorbs liquid, so his shoes are soaked with pee, on the soles which are squishing pee, and he's leaving puddles of foot print pee out from the urinal, out the bathroom door, and onto the carpet.

He came in three days later, wearing the same pants and shoes he peed all over, smelling like days old urine.

Spent a cold half hour trying to change a headlight bulb..simple job no?
Well no.Bloody plastic components-break one of those and where are you then?
Sinus playing up doesn’t help..concentration gone,feeling crap and tired…sheesh!

If you see restaurants called The Meltdown or Burger Den on your food delivery app, it's actually Denny's. Chuck E. Cheese does the same thing with Pasqually's Pizza & Wings.

Poorly laid out epubs.

I'm reading one now that need some cleaning up. The good news is that it's DRM free. Now, I have to figure out epubs to edit it properly. I'm hoping between Sigil and Calibre I can figure it out.

I had to look up the meaning of "epubs" and "DRM." Honestly, with all of today's abbreviations and acronyms, sometimes it feels like I'm reading Newspeak.

Old cars - Yes, newer cars, not so much:(

On my current car, I'm not sure if it's even possible without doing the whole unit. On my last car, you needed to wriggle the rear lights out to change, and the headlights, very small hands too.
(The older cars were dead easy)

On some current models of sedans, in order to get at the driver side head light, you have to raise the vehicle up, remove the left front tire to gain access to the wheel well, then remove the plastic guard to get at the assembly. We charge extra labor for it. We like to say that if the people who designed the cars actually had to work on them, they wouldn't design them that way.
