Canadian Amazon has a listing for an SNW novel titled Heaven's Vault by David Mack due out August 26, though that's the extent of the information available, no blurb to provide plot details or anything else. Curiously, the S&S website currently has no listing for it.

But this is the world we live in now. Trade off for their being so much new onscreen content, I guess.
Give them some time to incorporate all the data dumps from new material. It's like a smorgasbord of details to choose from.
The amount of content has nothing to do with it.
Assuming for the sake of argument all the red tape were not an issue, how long would it take to assimilate new Trek lore, combine it with existing stuff, and put together a publishable book?
I suspect the cause is more likely to be a lack of readers particularly the ones that buy new books. From a publisher's pov, 2 or 3 new novels a year may be all the market will bear.Is there that much turmoil, that we cannot get 4 to 6 books a year? Plenty of good Trek writers with many ideas.
