Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

At Attin can’t be Earth. Star Wars is “a long time ago,” and At Attin looks like a future Earth, so unless there’s time travel involved, it can’t be Earth.

Star Wars might also be far in the future so that 100 hundreds years from now with still be "a long time ago" for all the people in the SW universe.

Sure it can. All you need is a cataclysm and Earth needs to start over. Halo does that.

But then the fact that it looks like modern suburban Earth would be every bit as much a coincidence as a SW galaxy planet looking like modern suburban Earth. It would still be unrelated to our society. “Earth from millions of years ago wiped out by a cataclysm” might as well be a different planet.

Oh but people will still be watching these movies 100 years in the future. The SW audience exists in infinity. Unless they keep Kathleen Kennedy around for another 10 years.
The movies will all ways take place a long time ago no matter when the audience sees them. Is that what you're saying?

Why? Is she getting rid of Star Wars?

Possibly. Or maybe its just something humanity will do.

I doubt its Earth because I think that's a nonsensical plot line. I think its closer to the planet from Treasure Planet.

It’s Star Wars that’s “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away,” not Earth. We are in Star Wars’ future. If Al Attin is our future, it would also be the future of everything we’ve seen so far in Star Wars.

It's a time locked planet.

And now I must return to the Great Work ;)

Presumably “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” is meant to be taken literally. That said, if the franchise ever decides to establish that it actually takes place in the Milky Way in the year 27,000 and the opening line is what they tell listeners far in the future of that, they can.

No. I was saying their will be fans still enjoying Star Wars in a hundred years. As long as their are humans their will be Star Wars fans.

I have to confess, for a moment, I was fooled into thinking they actually returned to At Attian already, much to my severe disappointment. I was relieved when we quickly saw they were actually at At Achrann, a different Jewel, but one left in ruins and generations of fighting.

I'm loving how each episode has given each kid a chance to shine and finally it was Neel's turn. I adored his fast crush on Hayna and how he found his courage exactly when he and his friends needed it.

Unsurprisingly, SM-33 knows the truth but with orders to kill, I mean, "rip limb from limb!", I'm not sure how they're going to get any information out of him. Hopefully KB can figure out a solution.

Even though this was Neel's episode, I loved Fern and Wim's heart-to-heart conversation about leadership. They're growing up so fast! :wah:
