When you're young, critical decisions at key juncture points have a way of setting a "Domino Effect" down the line of your own life.So where is the line between taking bold risks and being stupid? I get what you are saying and there is a lot of it that I agree with, but my whole thing is one thing shouldn't shape your entire life. Why couldn't he avoid the fight but show another instance of being bold, like taking over the Stargazer? I guess I just didn't like the episode implying that because you made a choice at one point in your life, that would lead to making similar choices in other parts of your life. Life is full of choices, sometimes you make dumb ones and sometimes you make great ones. You just hope the great ones outweigh the bad ones.
If a person acts a certain way, they aren't likely to change their behavior as they get older.
It takes ALOT of effort to change the way you behave at a fundamental level as you get more mature & set in your ways.
That can be good / bad depending on the circumstances.
In this case, it was bad for JLP.
Q already explained what happened to that version of JLP.
You don't have to like it, but it's likely to happen to some folks.
