News Star Trek: Section 31 Movie with Michelle Yeoh Announced!

Who taught Georgiou? What opportunities did she have and survive?

Sometimes, you have to have that little something that tells you right from wrong. Not all of us have had right and wrong defined for us, we have to define it for ourselves. It is clearly evident in that it exists within people even in the Mirror Universe.

From her track record, it is clear that Georgiou is a psychopath and should be locked up in a deep, dank hole somewhere.

You think Georgiou is nuts? MU Burnham is worse. Probably the most evil character I've ever seen in the MU. Total whackmobile.

This is all assuming that the events of "Terra Firma" are legit and not a Guardian-generated illusion of some kind, and I'm not sure about that.

I want to see that even the worst of humanity had the potential to become better.

Otherwise humanity is screwed.

It really isn't. We're screwed if we get to the point where people aren't held accountable for their actions.
How do you apply another timeline's person to our standards of justice when they were not aware this was a law? These are not crimes committed under any jurisdiction of the Prime Timeline or even considered crimes where she came from.

The only obsessive cult-like behavior here is the half dozen or so people who have taken the creepy "cult of Terry Matalas" bit too far, falling into the gravitational well of a snarky post-ironic singularity.
If you want in the club, all you gotta do is ask. You're welcome to join our discord. ;)
But yeah, people like studio presidents Steve Asbell and Kevin Feige
You can be a fan of someones work without claiming they're the savior of a franchise. You understand that by implying that the franchise needs saving, you're disparaging the hard work of all the other creative people involved with the other shows.
longstanding Star Trek analysts like the Inglorious Treksperts are all clueless cult adepts of Lord Terry, amiright?
Yes.

I'm sure that jurisdiction is warm comfort to the families of all her victims.

So you will prosecute all who do things that were not crimes where they came from?

I do not wish to be under your justice and hope I never am. I'd get charged for things I did not know I was so doing were wrong.

The only time you would have to worry about such a thing, is if you murdered countless millions of beings, in another reality. In the here-and-now, ignorance of the law isn't a valid excuse for getting away with a crime.

I think it was legit, and you're right, MU Burnham is totally irredeemable. Animalistic is probably a better word.

Oh, and I'm guaranteeing murder is also a crime in the Mirror Universe. You can't have people just going around and randomly gutting other people for shits and giggles.

Not under the jurisdiction of a political power when the crimes were committed does apply.

And I'm sorry but the genocide exception for rule of law doesn't inspire confidence.

Except they do.

Ancient societies on Earth did too.

But, I shall defer to your multiverse judicial knowledge.

Yeah. Even the Klingons have rules regarding who can challenge who. I'm betting that the MU does as well.

The Terran Empire may be, well, an empire, but they're not barbarians. They have rules just like everyone else. Hell, even the Imperium from W40K has its own system of laws (for example, IIRC an Imperium official who orders an Exterminatus without cause is subject to swift discipline). These aren't anarchies here.

Rome had murder as a crime, at least, as far back as 330 BC.

Ancient Rome 331 BC, mostly men started dying, seemingly from some sort of plague. Called patricians, the dead were all from the upper echelons of society. Whilst the Roman Senate believed it may have been the work of the Gods, a slave girl spilled the beans so to speak, in return for immunity from prosecution.

He grew up in a situation where murder wasn't frowned upon. Why should he be tried for any crimes?
Because he had the opportunity to learn and know better. I know what laws and international agreements govern current leaders and countries.

I don't know the MU and won't assume to know. Law is based on fact not theory of possibilities.
