Would people have problems if they made this new planet, Earth? Whether or not they do it or not I kind of like the idea of it and would be cool with it. I am ready to see Earth in SW.

At Attin is clearly in the Star Wars galaxy and therefore can not be Earth, given the SW galaxy is "far, far away" from Earth. If Earth were to be featured in a Star Wars show, Ahsoka would make more sense given they actually have travelled to another galaxy there.

Though we're probably never going to see Earth in Star Wars anyway.

It's a cute show. "Skeleton Crew" reminded me of those adventure flicks for kids that were prominent from the 1980s to the early 2000s.

Showing Earth in Star Wars is like showing 1940's New York in 'Lord of the Rings'. Putting aside the spatial and temporal divide; they're quite simply incompatible concepts with both the tone and spirit of the piece. Star Wars isn't 'Battlestar Galactica', or 'Planet of the Apes', or even 'Dune'; it's not designed to, nor is there any reason to connect it to our world. Indeed that could only serve to make it *less* interesting, not more.

It's a space fantasy fairy-tale. It needs a real world connection like a Hutt needs ballet slippers.

Yes, Star War is supposed to be "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" so suddenly interesting Earth as part of their galaxy would completely go against everything the franchise has been since literally the first 30 seconds of the first movie.

There is ZERO chance Filloni ever seriously considered that. It's pure fan invention, and I don't care what some randos on reddit claim.

There's a certain type of fan that seems to think they can manifest their own ideas of what's coming by stating them as rumour. And when reality refuses to cooperate, they make out that what they claimed *was* going to happen, but they changed it. It's a pattern I've seen repeated more times than I care to count, and it's one of the many reasons I pay very little heed to "rumours".

Pretty sure the kids were kicking one of those cans down the street in the first episode; nevertheless, the point remains an irrelevant one. That corporate cross-promotional product is an Easter Egg at best. No more significant than Graflex tube lightsabers, Gillette for Women razor comlinks, Binatone toy light-gun corporate blasters, soap dispenser scanners, USN APH-6B flight helmets for X-wing pilots, vintage 1940's Rolls Royce Derwent Jet Engine Combustor Liner assassin droid heads/drinks dispenses, chickens, dogs, rats, and probably most of all: humans!

It'd take some seriously delusional mental gymnastics to try and connect *any* that with the idea that Earth exists in this universe, and honestly; what a tedious and imaginative way to spend one's mental energy.

Finally did my watch of the first two episodes. It was a good adventure tale, and I find myself really strangely intrigued by At Attin and its presence in the galaxy. As much as I enjoyed the kids figuring out the ship, and SM-33, I want to know as much about their home planet. It is suitably homey to me and I like the aesthetic.

Though, I'll also admit that the "Assessment" reminded me a bit of Vault 101's "GOAT" test that determines who does what job in the Vault s that whole structure is really interesting.

I'm also looking forward to unraveling the mystery of At Attin. It seems to me that the planet is still operating as if the previous Galactic Republic was still around, but there's got to be more going on there. My guess is the people in power know the Republic is long-gone but are using the barrier to keep the general population from finding out the truth, so that they can continue whatever their Great Work is supposed to be. Or maybe they're just using the Great Work as an excuse to simply hold on to power over an unsuspecting populace.

As for Jude Law's character, he's about the right age to have either been a young Jedi Knight or still a Padawan at the time of the Great Purge, but I do like the idea that he's maybe just a Force-sensitive born outside the Republic who never showed up on the Jedi's radar. And while he probably was the helmeted Captain Silvo we saw at the beginning of the show, I wonder if that's maybe too obvious and if they might throw us a curveball instead. Maybe Captain Silvo is actually Wim's mother, who we know nothing about so far. Though it seems unlikely she would leave behind her family on At Attin. But it's an idea I find interesting. Still, it probably was Jod.
