Spoilers The Strange New Worlds Starship Thread™

I was watching one of the Season 1 BTS videos on the blu-ray, and spotted that engineering cutaway from the concept art on one of the engineering consoles. This was animated though
Not sure if it’s visible in any episodes

Ian Vicknair has posted some sky backgrounds from Strange New Worlds episodes on his ArtStation, including one of the Enterprise docked at Starbase One (I assume it was for the "sign the scorch" scene during the "Enterprise bingo" subplot). You can get a really good look at the environmental domes, and the details in the docking band.
These look amazing!
I'd love if a Trek video game could take place on such a station or the 32nd century Angelou-class and involve seeing all the biomes and tech places.

I never really thought about it until Strange New Worlds, but I actually really love the idea of the secondary hull basically just being three big rooms.

Utterly mad that they show it closer to the "too big to fit" scale and not their own fudged one. Love it.

I do like that page, because it shows the designer did their research on how the warp system is laid out on a connie.

Probably based off the Connie Refit, consider the mention of a Deflection Crystal.

I'm still kind of stunned that the engineering set is oriented, for lack of a better word, backwards, considering everything else we've seen of engine rooms since the very beginning seem to have the warp core in front and all the supporting "mechanisms" and distribution nodes behind it.

Not a shot against it at all, just simply unexpected. But yes, I agree they definitely put some thought into this. It's refreshing.

Interesting! Non-canon, in Star Trek Online this ship type is referred to as the Farragut class.
The Star Trek Starships Die Cast Collection by Fanhome calls the type of the Farragut the Bellerophon Class in the PDF flyer. We have to wait and see if this name gets confirmed in the magazine of issue 3, due for release in January 2025. If so, we have two licensed names for this class.

Another thing, they coloured the pennants red, when in Season 2 and STO they were a dark grey.

The registry on the nacelles was also white, not black.

Seeing this thread topic come alive for a minute really has me dying to get into season 3. It's no secret that I love The Enterprise, as she's depicted in SNW, and I can't wait to see her again!

With that in mind.... I got bored and threw together a few of my favourite shots of her, because who doesn't love Starship porn?

I kinda like the idea of it being an Archer Class ship.

I think Jonathan Archer was modest enough that he'd appreciate a tiny little class of scout ship being named after him.

Especially looking at an NX-01 and a 23rd century ship. Would love for someone to do a modern update to the Franz Josephs tech manual sheets of different ships of the period.

Yeah, seeing some of those designs with a SNW visual aesthetic would be interesting.

What I want is to see some kitbashes, similar to the Farragut, only with parts taken from the Archer-Type.

I'm a sucker for little ships and not every ship can be a massive capital ship the size of a Constitution. Give me little Starships with specialized uses!

How big is the Archer? Assuming one deck thick it's pretty small by general Starship standards, but it's still large enough that a crew of just three officers would be rattling around in there.

I maintain that if the hull was brighter/lighting was better, this would be the best looking Enterprise out of all of them. What a beauty!
