Tarek's Projects

An 88 m gun ship. One warp ring with nuclear pulse engine. Mounts sixteen 9.4 inch guns in 8 twin mounts. The second set of guns located amidship has extendable mounts to enable all 16 guns to fire forward. Squadrons of these I picture as interceptors.

The Merchant uniforms are in various colors and styles based on the shipping company that the crew works for or whether they are in the Merchant Service or are independent owner-operators. ie the Captain is the owner of the ship. Generally, they are traditional flight suits. Something like this (pictured below) would go with the rank system above.

Only issue I have with this is that "Boson" should be "Bosun" - a Petty Officer responsible for the ship and crew - goes WAY back in maritime history. Originally "Boats Man".

Indeed. Didnt even notice the typo. Thanks!

Fixed.

That's a really good look.
Thanks! When I did it yesterday I was surpised. I think it is a real improvement in the ships lines. A big improvement. Something about the nacelles and the angle of the struts that attach them to the ship really makes it pop.

It does. It creates a much more dynamic visual to explore and it really does stand out.

Removed the nuclear pulse drive and replaced it with a nuclear rocket to allow for continuous 1g acceleration. Removed the previous rotational section and added a new one that allows for habitation modules that swivel based on whether the ship is under thrust or under rotational gravity when not under thrust. Ive added "ceiling" to two of the modules to indicate how they are oriented. When thrusting the modules run the same direction as the spoke. When not thrusting, the spokes rotate and the module swivels perpendicular to the spoke.
