Dafne Keen confirms that the Laura we see again is the exact same one from Logan (quote transcript courtesy of io9):
“[Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds told me] you’re not a variant. You went along with the kids for a few years and then you got zapped, and you’ve been in the TVA for a few years now. You lost your accent because you were in America for a while … you’re a very intelligent kid, you learned English while you were with Logan … To you, you are Logan’s Laura, and so seeing this person again is like ‘Whoa, this is my Dad who I haven’t seen in years.'”

Well, this just brings up more timeline issues with the movie than I already had. However, as I said earlier, this is an X-Men movie after all. Timeline issues are part and parcel of the package...

Just saw a video on insta Channing posted of his training for Gambit.
And I just realised, this was an absolute highlight for me. Gambit was one of my favorites from the X-Men cartoon from the 90's and seeing what to me is basically comic-accurate Gambit on the big screen, especially since Channing cared so much about it.... Together with Blade, and yes even Elektra.... Those two were such a huge part of comicbook movies in the late 90's and early 2000's.
I actually still enjoy the director's edition of Ben Affleck's Daredevil. And Blade... Hell, even though the third one sucked, we got two awesome movies out of that franchise.
