And that leads me to a couple of questions:
1/ Do I go full TOS and not bother showing where the phasers and torpedoes launch from, or do I add those ports?
2/ Should the Avenger version have some sort of weapons pod, rather than a sensor pod?

The shape of those pylons reminds me of the yellow bits of the hull pennants on the TOS Enterprise:

What do you think most of the Kelvinverse ships look like? Kitbashes of the Kelvin - save the Enterprise herself - and then the redonkulously huge Dreadnought in "Into Darkness"... They look like this and this and this and this. :)

I'd say make it a bit more detailed than normal TOS, so add those phasers and launchers.
Weapons pod for the Avenger would make for a nice variant.
I hadn't thought of that... I've been using the Legendary TOS Miranda from Star Trek Online as my reference point.I like it!

Yes, I'm thinking that's the way to go as well... Also with the Avenger I may flip things around, so it's close to the original design before Mayer signed the plans the wrong way round (if that's true).

I think... I'm going to abandon doing a TOS Miranda - it has been done, and very well done. Not sure what I could bring to it that would be different, except minor details.
That said, I did a lot of work on the study, and I have a hankering to do something with TOS, so...
How about a Phase II Constitution?

Well, It's always important to do what feels best for you. I was very curious about your take on a TOS Miranda, but if you feel it's not worth spending your time on while you'd rather do something that gives you more joy, you've got my full support!
And yes, a Phase II Connie would be awesome!

The direction I was going in took a lot from the ship I was seeing in STO, I need to regroup and rethink because that ship has already been done and done well. The Avenger is still a real possibility, however. Maybe a Phase II Avenger... that has nice possibilities.
In terms of doing the Phase II Constitution... In all the years I have been doing 3D work, I have never done a Constitution. Maybe it's time I did :-) I have made a good start, but family drama kept me away from the main rig today, so it will be tomorrow morning when you get some renders.
It's no problem and no issue :-) It's nice to know who the artist is who did the work, and to give them all the kudos they deserve for it.
