Yeah ..if Tillys isnt leading Academy ill be a aardvarks aunt.

Like, Doug Jones can take off the WHOLE SEASON to do promo work for Hocus Pocus 2, and Mary Wiseman can skip a whole season to do...a stage play?
In the case of Mary Wiseman in S4, the original plan was for her to do the play at a point when Disco wasn't supposed to be filming, but the pandemic kept shifting dates around eventually resulting in the play being done at the same time S4 was filming. So reducing her role in S4 was the compromise that was reached.

Not sure the whole story concerning Doug Jones this season, though.

The Badlands in the 32nd century versus the 24th century.

For starters, you might want to include "Far From Home" on your list. Unless seeing Burnham on screen for one second automatically makes her the main focus. ;)

You're also overlooking episodes where there were A-plots and B-plots, as well as episodes that had two plots of equal focus.

You mentioned Stamets, so let's start there. "... But to Connect" had Stamets as much of the main focus in his storyline as Burnham was the focus in hers.

I was probably being hyperbolic to some extent, now that I think about it. Season 2, in particular, arguably had two episodes that focused on Saru (an Obol for Charon and The Sound of Thunder), and Pike had his stuff going on (in If Memory Serves and Through The Valley of Shadows in particular).

That said, the show has had an issue since Season 3, when the showrunners introduced a wider universe of "new cast," which has progressively sidelined the Discovery crew. Hell, this season, even the extended universe of off-ship recurring characters (Vance, Kovich, T'Rina, Rillak, etc.) have been pretty spotty/reduced to cameos. There's just too many plates being spun at once I think, which means few of the characters (Save for Michael, Rayner, and Book) are really being done solid from week to week.

The library was built next to the worst storm that was never going to end.

A storm that lasts a billion years is self sustaining,

It may not be a natural storm. The library might be tickling the badlands undercarriage by blasting at something sensitive, because its cheaper than tripling the thickness of the shields.

The library is mobile. More of a bookmobile, if you will. The Badlands is just it current location.

Change built to moved.

It finds somewhere inhospitable and visits.

Girl Loki did he same thing in Loki.

Hiding in Apocalae to sidestep the TVA.

Okey dokey.
Not sure where your from but I can definitely tell ya the US and most certainly Hollywood California has some cheek lecturing people for mistaking an accent.
Hollywood is in California so if everyone in Hollywood speaks "television American" then that actually makes it a defacto California accent.
The "accent" probably didn't originate in California. There is a General American accent used in the media.

We have two episodes left, the episode JUST came out, and no one is talking about it, not really.
That's like a big neon sign that they are not doing something right.
Is it? Your post is #197 on page 10 of the thread. For PIC3 episode 8 post #197 was also on page 10. Though the first five pages were about arguing over posting spoilers. Over on SNW post #197 is again on page 10 for Season 2 ep 8. So, the conversation seem to be developing at a pace.
The conversation seem fairly typical. People wondering about character X's whereabouts. People who love it. People who hate it. Continuity nickpicks. The acting. The writing. The usual smorgasbord

Lower thread participation doesn't correlate to a show failing or being a complete failure anymore than a thread going 100 pages was caused by a movie or series being of high quality and being a smash hit.

You beat me to it. But in my defense I was wasting time on an expanded version. ;)

It seems to have gotten more chaotic as time has passed. Mid-DS9, someone or something must have ignited the plasma streams.

8/10, I thought it was a decent episode. Really felt for Book when he found those roots. I felt Burnham's exploration of failure to be somewhat meta, especially with her comments about not being good enough to be Captain. The Breen Primarch seemed to rule by fear, and when his troops no longer feared him, he was a goner. I wonder if Lak has possessed another Breen or somehow shifted his body into a new pressure suit.
