2 Funny things to note. The feds in the 32nd century lost a 800 year old escape pod going warp 2. Second thing is fat out of shape Tilly won a marathon, rofl.
Kind of boring episode, nothing really interesting was mention or done. So why didn't they bring up the other towers before leaving like they planned, didn't they teach them how to. I'm trying to remember more of this episode, but I just watched it and nothing is coming to me.

When Burnham said she is not a god, I doubt she believed that. Though they are trying to bring a more down to earth Burham this season, rather than godhood Burnham.

Maybe Tilly is part alien (not human) where their planet has a higher gravity (like Alara from Orville) and her size is not relevant to her speed. Of all the crew, she's the one that's always jogging around the ship.

The 'race' was about being able to endure while feeling really, really thirsty. That's why there were bowls of water throughout the whole race... temptation.

Tilly's not thin. We get it. She's also a fun, adorable character played by a pretty funny and talented actress.

I don't care what it was about, Tilly would've suffered cardiac arrest in 30 seconds. She's not running anywhere. Neither am I, but I'm not supposed to be a military officer.
