Fair enough, I suppose. Nevertheless, given the actual anniversary is the 19th, this still feels very deliberate.May 4th is a Saturday and not typically when you want to do a film release. Friday is preferred.

Of course it is. These things are planned out far in advance based upon what other studios are doing.Fair enough, I suppose. Nevertheless, given the actual anniversary is the 19th, this still feels very deliberate.
Also seems an apt description of the Magicks in Ahsoka with Thrawn's troopers.Posting this here because it's a fairly minor thing and not really relevant for the Bad Batch thread: I just finished re-reading 'Dark Disciple' in anticipation of Ventress's return, and in addition to the previously noted final page shenanigans, I came across something else which could (and I stress *could*) be interpreted as foreshadowing a resurrection.

For context (as if one couldn't guess) this is right when she seems to fully embrace the light side, moments before her death. It's probably a coincidence in the way that Golden chose to order the words, but the progression from death, to life, and to new chances down one path seems to fit perfectly with what appears to have gone down.
That's a nice catch, that does seem like it could take on a new context now that we know she's coming back.Posting this here because it's a fairly minor thing and not really relevant for the Bad Batch thread: I just finished re-reading 'Dark Disciple' in anticipation of Ventress's return, and in addition to the previously noted final page shenanigans, I came across something else which could (and I stress *could*) be interpreted as foreshadowing a resurrection.

Is it just me, or does the Padme portrait look a little . . . off?The upcoming Black Series 6" Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, both based on Episode I to help celebrate that film's 25th Anniversary, alongside the artwork from their respective boxes.

I love those sculpts and really wish I was in the position to switch to 6" vs. my current 3.75" work. The Black Series has really got a lovely set of figures. The upcoming Black Series 6" Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, both based on Episode I to help celebrate that film's 25th Anniversary, alongside the artwork from their respective boxes.

I wasn't talking about the sculpt, I was talking about the portrait. The figure looks fine, but the picture looks like they tried photoshopping Matilda's face onto Padme's head, but accidentally moved all the features up a little too far . . . which is often what it looks like when you superimpose a face onto a head that are positioned/photographed from a slightly different angles from each other.Probably just the Hasbro sculpting and Real Photo face technology and the limitations. The Padmé based on Episode II looks more like Natalie Portman and that figure is more than four years old.
The original Battefronts are coming to modern consoles, and the PC versions will also be getting an update

I was wondering if it's based on concept art from the film.I wasn't talking about the sculpt, I was talking about the portrait. I wonder if this is just an artistic misfire, or are they genuinely trying to make her look 14 like she was intended to be instead of the 16/17 that Portman was when they shot the movie?
By contrast, the Jake Lloyd portrait looks flawless.
