Spoilers All Things STAR WARS - News, Speculation & Spoilers Thread

I suppose this is as good a time to remind/inform those that aren't aware; on the OP of this thread I have a list of all known upcoming (non-print) projects with a general summary & links to the most recent info available for each, which I try to keep it as current as I can manage. So if anyone wants to know the latest on anything specific, it's there. And if there's nothing recent, that probably just means there's nothing else known at this time.
I was under the impression that this was animated. Not sure why I did, but just learned it's live action and I'm happy now.
At present the only known upcoming animated project is the second season of 'Tales of the Jedi'. That may soon change given Bad Batch ends right around the time they like to announce things. So watch this space.

I'll admit, as someone who never liked the E-Wing back in the EU days; this is a nice translation into live action (and a toy, I suppose.)
Personally if I were writing the lore for this thing; I'd make it more of a high performance airspeeder than a space fighter. Basically half-way between a T-65 and a T-47. By no means the best, most advanced thing ever either; just something bolted together from mostly readily available off-the shelf Incom components and a standard Incom control layout to quickly supply the NR with something to shore up the numbers. No frills. All utilitarian. Fairly rugged. Easy to maintain. Cheap to mass-produce. Enough fire-power and shields to deal with most judicial patrols duties, but by no means battlefield ready. Probably doesn't even have a hyperdrive as standard.

Side note: though it was inevitable the moment we saw it in the trailer; it's still weird that they're making a toy of the droid that's designed to look like the old toy version of R2-D2. Toyception?

The EU E-Wing had a third laser cannon above the cockpit, which I'm glad the Ahsoka design removes.
Imagine trying to get in and out of that thing. You'd be smacking into the damn laser cannon all the time. And we're talking normal sized people as opposed to Porkins territory.

Empire Magazine is doing something Star Wars tomorrow afternoon (I have no idea what timezone that 4PM is meant to be)

They're based in London.

I would assume probably London time, or thereabouts.
My inner child needs it.

The EU E-Wing had a third laser cannon above the cockpit, which I'm glad the Ahsoka design removes.

The original also had an astromech, but it was concealed behind the cockpit.

Yeah, the EU design I never liked. I much prefer this one and am glad for the opportunity.

Also, the pilot figure from Ahsoka was announced too. And I'm down for it.

Well the odds of this being Kenobi related have to be at about 90%.
A season 2 of the show would be the most obvious choice, though I wouldn't exactly put money on it...but aside from yet another movie announcement, I can't think what else it could be? Seems a bit too far out from release of the show to just be some interview or promotional thing with McGregor. Pretty much has to be something new.

ETA: I guess it might be a first look at TotJ season 2? I mean last time it was Dooku/Ahsoka, so maybe this season it will be Kenobi/Sabine..? (wild guess, I know.)
