It started when I went to New Zealand and discovered that their Coke did not contain high fructose corn syrup, but rather cane sugar. It was delicious. Coke, as it was meant to be

It’s not a bad gig, living here…

TBH: I don’t think I’ve had a full sugar Coke in years - mostly I would partake in DC (Diet Coke). Also - I’ve had the mirror hankering for an American Coke (corn-syrup’d) because I only know of Cane-Sugared soft drinks or Diet ones (Aspartame’d, so to speak).

So the concept of a drink flavoured with corn-syrup is quite novel, in these neck o’ the woods…

I remember when TNG first premiered around the same time as the New Coke / Classic Coke debacle. I had a t-shirt with the TOS crew (we didn't call it TOS yet) with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy with "Classic Trek" in the Coca-Colo typeset.

I also wore an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time...

You weren't missing much. It was disgusting. Thankfully, I don't think it's still available. It was part of their Coca-Cola Creations marketing campaign. They put out a bunch of new flavours every few months, but only for a limited time. I only tried a few, but ever single one of them was garbage.

I never liked coca-cola. Pepsi or RC when I was younger. But mostly I drank Dad's Root Beer. Now that I'm old and sugar is a concern I have to go diet even though I dislike aspartame and all those fake sugars. So I am now a Diet Dew guy (it has real orange juice). Dew zero ain't so good (and no real juice!). I love some of the dew flavors too (Voltage, Livewire, Code Red), but they don't come in Diet/Zero Sugar. So I'm pretty much limited to Diet Dew and an occasional Spark Zero.

Yes, this post is discussing SNW. Because I like to have popcorn and a drink while watching SNW. Even if it's my third or fourth viewing!

How did they determine what space tasted like? No idea. Of course, Dreamworld was "dream flavoured" and Byte was "pixel flavoured"... so, yeah.

No, literally no-one is keeping you from discussing something related to Strange New Worlds. Also, you complaining about people not talking directly about the show for a bit isn’t talking about the show either.
