Alien races you think should be main or recurring characters

you know what's funny is that in the Kelvinmovies, we never saw any andorians or Tellerites. We barely saw Vulcans.

Ya tbh the Kelvinverse really didn't flesh out much of Star Trek. Not that it didn't at all, but not as much as it could've imo

Surprised we've never had an Andorian regular on any of the subsequent TV shows when they're one of the first races established as being in the Federation.

I'd love an Andorian regular. Explore how having four sexes and sensing electromagnetic fields affects different cultures on their planet.

I'm trash for the Trill as well. Adira and Gray are being done dirty on DISCO, having such an interesting story but being stuck in 90% domestic fluff scenes instead of exploring their characters. Some better focus on those two, and some more Trill characters in other series, please.

Tholians are another I'd love to see more of. I don't care how cheap the CGI or how obvious the puppet, it won't be more distracting than the ladies' private parts on the foreheads of so many "aliens" in 90s Trek. Just accept your show has an obvious budget, and be creative with your aliens.

Orions are always great to see. I love Tendi on "Lower Decks," but a live action Orion regular would be great too.

A Cardasian, and a look into their people underneath the oppression of the Union, would be interesting.
Cardassia is basically a world where the Nazis won. Or like so many oppressive regimes today. Having a Cardassian breaking free of their fascist world could be cool. Or one of those Cardassian war orphans raised Bajoran on DS9.

Please, for the love of Kahless's two dicks, no more Kelpians. The only interesting thing about them is their visual design. If they looked like 90s rubber forehead aliens, Trekkies would realize how dull they are. Sorry not sorry.

Birdies. All the birdies.
It would be expensive, but with a mix of high-budget costume work and decent CGI you could make a Jarnathan-esque Aurelian or Skorr who'd be fairly convincing onscreen.

That and cetaceans.

I’ve always thought the First Federation should have remained a more visible part of the universe.
