To be fair, it shouldn't cause harm to a person just because they don't know how to use it. This isn't RPG game rules were if your skill level is low you fumble with the weapon and then stab yourself with it.

That has nothing to do with "properly." That is just one benefit of the weapon but it's still a weapon.

As Kanan and Obi-Wan notes the Force inhabits all living things.

It is. A lightsaber is seen to a Jedi to be more of a defensive weapon than offensive. To use one properly you need to know how to deflect. Anyone can use it as a sword.

It's not.

It's one benefit to the weapon but it doesn't make it the proper use. Any more that it's improper to use a sword without a shield.

Considering how awful Luke was in BOBF, I no longer trust these jokers with the character. Best leave him out of any future SW projects with this team, particularly if it's going to be the shitty midjourney version of the character.
