Burnham being on the outside of the ship while they are at warp kind of took me out of the scene, but instead of being overly emotional, in the realm of Star Trek Science, is that actually possible?

I did like seeing Kovich tagging along and remaining on the bridge. It was a pretty decent scene to whet the appetite for the new season.

Edit:

I guess the scene where Trip is going from the Columbia to Enterprise in "Divergence" (?) is the closest to compare, and that was a pretty decent scene.

Cool that with changeable matter they can form space suits almost instantly. Did they show that last season? I don’t remember. Any it should cut down on deaths during hull breaches.

Of course there will be friction between Burnham and the new captain character.

The ships are more Transformers like now. I keep expecting Megatron to appear.
Is Cronenberg going to direct an episode? Seems odd to have him around and not have him do one.

It looks more like the science vessel that they modified from the original TNG scout ship model. Is this supposed to be a ship from 800 years in TNG's future? Boy, this fictional universe's tech really never changes.

I'd suggest looking more into the ships of the 32nd Century Starfleet and there technology. A great deal has changed. Programmable matter being a particular favorite advancement of mine.

Reyner. My first thought was, "I like him!" Then, as the preview clip went on, I thought, "Okay, I like him BUT his dogged stubbornness is going to be a problem." The ship chasing sequence and the position it put Burnham in reminded me of a James Bond movie.
