Rewatching this at home - I'm struck at how bad some of the CGI is - even leaving the director's excuses - there are multiple scenes where Ezra Millar's face is badly CGI'd onto his double's face...

And also...is is just me, or does it look like he is running BACKWARDS in at least a couple of the scenes?

Yeah the effects were bad for a multimillion dollar film

It's like people are looking for any excuse to berate the film.

That was clearly intentional. He runs so fast that he starts going back in time which is why it looks like he is running backwards.

So even more confusing than Reeve Superman flying backwards? (I understood he was flying back in time, but some saw it as Superman spinning the glibe in reverse)

I always thought he flew back in time but em... reviewing it he then goes forward a couple of times to get the earth started again in the right direction... ‍♂️

WB put up one of the Flash extras on YouTube. I know why, but it's still kind of funny to see them interview Ezra's double rather than Ezra. :D

The scene was ridiculous no matter Superman's flying direction.

Some might say this is WB's less-than-subtle way of saying Miller's time with DC properties has reached the end, but Gunn's maybe/maybe not reply a couple of months ago:

"We’re just gonna have to wait and see, you know? I mean, we’ll see how things go, so, you know.”

..along with Safran's comment about the last four DCEU movie's characters:

Safran: “These four movies are terrific. There’s no reason why any of the characters and the actors playing those characters are not part of the DCU. There’s nothing that prohibits that from happening.”

...suggest something else. Of course, the quotes are from a few months ago, so Miller--coupled with the poor performance of The Flash may be the final nail in Ezra's self-built coffin.

Considering how poorly the film did I think it's safe to say that nobody in that movie will ever be back again. No Sasha Calle Supergirl, no Keaton team up with Batfleck. Audiences and fans buried it and anything related to it.

I just saw the film. The opening sequence is legitimately awful. Goofier than anything the MCU has ever done. The two Barrys was a fun concept, but the younger Flash was just far too annoying to enjoy. The highlight of this film was Supergirl. I still think it's a better film than Aquaman and Wonder Woman 2, but I'm glad this version of the DC heroes is coming to end. There hasn't been a great film since Man of Steel.

No Sasha Calle Supergirl
No inherent reason for this, though I certainly won’t be surprised if it’s true. She wasn’t in the film long enough to be the star of the film (so its business failure isn’t her fault), her sequences did nothing to diminish her as she is one of the film’s best aspects, and, frankly, if the marketing people simply ignore the Flash movie, by the time the Supergirl movie comes out, it’ll be largely forgotten by the general audience. And given other actors will be reprising DCEU roles in the new DCU, AND she’s not weighed down with significant DCEU baggage, I see no rational reason for her not to be in the Supergirl movie, unless she chooses to decline the role.

DC is angry that they can't make 10 years ago Marvel money, and they will blame everyone.

If Kara arrives on Earth with baby Kal, at the same time, when they were supposed to arrive, that would make her a contemporary of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker?

I enjoyed it, warts and all.

Also, I have the bluray on preorder so the movie doesn't completely disappear from the universe. :techman:

So, even though there was apparently a digital release....
Dutch Prime says title currently unavailable, and Dutch HBO Max also does not have it. Movies like The Batman, Black Adam and such were released basically when they were the available in the USA.
