Excellent.. Was laughing through out.
Few things..
I was singing.. Pour Unfortunate Soul.. In my head when I see Tprings dad.. Bless his heart..
Whole cast seemed to have genuine fun.
Anson was hamming it up.. And 1000 points for fixing that awful green tunic to this one..

You can use logic to support alot of bad things.. And I'd suspect many vulcans see themselves as superior to humans.. In many ways they are..

And finally.. Mia.. Spocks mom.. Is super hot..

T’Pring’s dad is the most perfect Walter Mitty-type I’ve ever seen. The actor played the role to perfection.

I cheered when Amanda showed up.

One of my problems with nu-Trek and Enterprise. IDIC would indicate that the Vulcans would at least embrace the differences and keep an open mind. Logic would dictate that they show a little more self-control on the issue individually and as a species, eh?
In TOS we had the following examples of Vulcans: Spock - half Vulcan and full messed up. Sarek - we love him but he's a jerk. Certainly to Spock. IDIC, except for your kid. T'Pau - yes, yes, the stakes are to the death, but why explain that to anyone who might not know? Also racist AF. T'Pring - A person or two might die, but I get my new guy!

As much as I was never a fan of the "Vulcan as the restraining older brother of the Federation" take on Enterprise, Vulcans as jerks was not invented by Berman and Braga.

He was quite good, wasn't he?. And I loved it when he asked for more of Chris' food. And Chris literally snapped to it.

Oh yeah... the green tunic.

They need to 'TOS' it up a bit more. Get rid of the weird stripe, and move the rank stripes from the sleeve to the shoulders like the original. Make the sheen a little more metallic, too. Y'know... like TOS.

Giving the episode a re-watch. I missed Spock's annoyance with Kirk's plate at the beginning of the episode (setting up his actions later in th r episode.) But he brushes the crumbs on the table to the floor? How is this an "improvement" to the mess that was pestering him?

It seems the anomaly they were investigating was in the Vulcan "sector" not the Vulcan star-system but you'd think with Vulcans proximity to Earth or being a founding, central, memember of the Federation for over a century now it's a sector that'd been fully explored. A line should have been dropped that the spatial anomaly was a new occurance.

1. The floor might be self-cleaning. (It's own roomba!)
2. Or, merely 'out of sight, out of mind.'

Poor Chris had been up all night slaving over a hot stove, and he wanted it appreciated, dammit!
I like to think Chris snuck him a doggy bag before he left. :guffaw:

Didn't the original have two variations?

Yeah, the Vulcans as depicted in ENT were anal about studying, scanning and patrolling nearby star systems so it's a little odd that this anomaly went completely undetected for an untold number of years. Perhaps the vortex/portal only appears infrequently and thus past Vulcan ships and expeditions didn't detect it or at most picked up odd readings but by the time they arrived for closer scans nothing was there, leaving a mystery?

Even Vulcans can be stumped by scientific discoveries or overlook them ("the Vulcan Science Directorate has determined that time travel is impossible").

Hmm. Now I have to go back and rewatch those. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

EDIT: There were two variations of the green wrap-around, one with the stripes on the sleeves, and the other with the captain's insignia molded around the neckline. I prefer the latter, just for being more different.

Yeah, Archers had the rank on the sleeve in the MU from the Defiant.

I like Pike's. Thinking of making it for a con.
