I wonder if they'll mention the TARDIS technology used??Someday, we're going to see someone's attempt at deck plans for the DSC/SNW Enterprise...

Nothing officialThere are deck plans for the SNWprise? Or just an MSD?
EAS has a great article on the Excel scaleI think this says less about the size of the Enterprise, and more about the size of Excelsior. She really does need to be bumped up in scale. Official numbers seem to be all over the place, but a 600m Excelsior would not look out of place.
Shouldn't a ship's computer core be as far away from the outer hull as possible?
Eh, what's the worst that could happen? You might say the same about the bridge and the antimatter storage pods...
It's a shame They didn't give the Excelsior the blue glow in the nacelles. Not to reignite any Neverending debates, but I just finished my model of the Excelsior in 1:1000 scale, same as my "Discoprise." If you wanted to see how the 442m Enterprise looks next to a 447m Excelsior, here it is.

....they did. Just not in Search for Spock or Undiscovered Country. It's a shame They didn't give the Excelsior the blue glow in the nacelles.
It would have given it a bit more character.
That looks like it. Although I recall it using warmer colors, like reds, oranges and yellows. I might be getting it mixed up in my brain with the TOS MSD, though. Sucks to get old…This?![]()
It's fan made.
For me, the odd part is the neck has never been curved on the TOS or TMP versions. I mean, there's already enough strange differences that they didn't need to make (angled pylons, huge row of lights on the saucer, massive impulse deck).
First thing I looked for.I can't tell if that MSD is to scale or not.
edit:
oh I'm unobservant there's a length at the bottom of the image lmao.
There were a couple spots where I thought the back of the neck looked curved in TMP. The poster, (I think it might be an artifact of it being repainted to reposition the characters, the first draft doesn't have that illusion, nor does the reference photo) and this shot in the drydock sequence.
The top of the refits neck where it blends into the saucer is curved. Its then a fairly straight shot down from the connecting flare down to the torpedo bay.
they're talking about the Refit Connie. There is no torpedo bay at the bottom of the neck yet. The SNW Enterprise still fires torpedoes from the saucer, just above the ventral sensor dome.
Works. The ship will just keep changing bit by bit without anyone pointing out why until it looks like in TOS/TNG/DS9/ENT/LDS/PRO/PIC in the last minute of the last episode![]()
