One can hope that all the 'bad' reviews are from the same people who were falling over themselves for Picard 3.

wasn’t that the entirety of the critic fandom though? Looking back it was all the hype prior to season three that ended up giving me a more mixed and subdued reaction to it. It was good but not DS9 season 5 (my favorite season in the franchise) good.

The Ortegas clip they released a while back, I completely missed that she mentioned the mission was to visit Rigel VII

Also, heh. The model of the Enterprise in her quarters is of it from DSC, not the updated SNW design.

It's the only version available. Some of us are waiting with baited breath for an updated version. Especially the rumoured 1/500 scale...

Episode 201 Synopsis: A distress call from Lt Noonien-Singh compels Spock to disobey orders and take the USS Enterprise and its crew into disputed space.

I already saw this was going to happen. There was literally one line of dialogue established about Pike and Spock's relationship in TOS and they already violated it in Discovery (with Spock disobeying about releasing Burnham from the red angel trap) and it seems like they will do it again.

The Menagerie--
Spock (to Pike): I have never disobeyed your orders before, Captain, but this time I must.

And now we have Spock disobeying Pike's orders every other week in Strange New Worlds. I assume now that Pike would've been laughing hysterically if he could when Spock said that line to him in TOS about never disobeying orders.

Oh, it's Pike's orders? For certain?

Eh, it was a joke. And people were asking me why I'm afraid to share jokes/opinions in the other thread.
Because of questions?

And humor is tough in.text. I encounter it all the time! :brickwall:*

Thar was a joke I just told.*

*with limited respect to Okona.
