SNW Season 3 Officially confirmed by Paramount+

Nice, I really enjoyed season 1.

Maybe unpopular opinion but (either in S2 or 3) I kinda want SNW to tackle the Star Trek Beyond plot. Everything up to Krall discovering the Magellan Probe with the info about the Arbonath being on the Enterprise should have happened the same in the Prime Universe. The USS Franklin should have ended up on Altamid, Edison and the other two survivors should have co-opted the leftover tech and became Krall et al, and so on.

I actually like that idea. Would love to see how major events in the Kelvin timeline played out in the prime timeline.

No real surprise, but it still made my day to see this being officially confirmed. At least we know there will be more than one live action Trek show in 2024 now. :techman:

ever since they introduced Alexander Marcus in Into Darkness, I wondered if he was a part of Section 31 in the prime universe as well or if that was a by product of the Nero’s incursion.

It does sound a bit concerning that SkyShowtime is not mentioned at all. For those wondering, it's a joint between Paramount and Peacock for smaller markets mainly in Europe. We in Nordics had Discovery seasons 1-4 on P+ when we still had it, but ever since SkyShowtime took over, they were all gone. We have not received the second half of Prodigy season 1 either.

Then again SNW season 1 is there, so there is some hope. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

That would be cool. Many of the events of Beyond would have happened in both timelines but played out to different conclusions in each one.

Personally I’m hoping that when Strange New Worlds does end, they continue with a straight-up TOS reboot.

I think SNW is going to trip all over TOS continuity. Honestly, after this season of Picard, I'd really wish they just push everything new into the 25th century and stop with the prequelish stuff.

The 25th century is a prequel with Disco and the new Starfleet Academy show in the 32nd.

It's OK, calm down. It's not real.

Whew, that was a close one.
