That thing they hinted at where troi adjusted timer’s feelings, maybe without consent? That sounds pretty dodgy! Well handled though.

worf’s little speech to her was funny until I remembered they used to date. Now just creepy, he should have been wearing a fedora and calling her mlady.

Probably because Jack's eyes flash red before he goes all Chuck on people with his supernatural powers. We have seen people possessed by the Pah-Wraiths do this.

We also saw Airium's eyes do this when Control exerted control.

Usually, flaring red eyes are not only an indicator of hay fever, but also demonic possession of some type.

Pah Wraiths don’t appear as floaty faces though. They appear as other people like the Prophets.

Maybe this whole season is a prequel to A Wrinkle in Time, where Jack is the younger version of IT.

They completely glossed over shifting the cloaking device around. They uninstalled it from the Titan, put it on Worf's shuttle, then after they got back, reinstalled it on the Titan again.

It's more like a sequel to X-Men and Jack is the son of Patrick's other franchise character

Ok, you guys have convinced me... I've gone from 33% chance the Jack mystery box is Borg related to 67%. TPTB probably feel they have a "new take" so are willing to confront Borg fatigue head on...

That said, the big bad is likely not Borg related.

That's a good distinction. While Jack's powers might be Borg related (probably), that doesn't mean that the big bad is necessarily the Borg. Just something that knows about it and wants to use those powers.

But they really should've revealed it during this episode.
