Can't expand on this right now but I was surprised how much the Data stuff worked for me. I was rolling my eyes thinking about what they were going to do with Data and how brining him back would cheapen everything from S1 but I bought it! Some great VERY long arc resolution with him and Lore. Neo-data is just interesting enough with some new wrinkles that I think it could be kind of good?
Agreed, the Data element means the idea that Data would become more human is now fulfilled after ignoring that in the movies almost completely.

Data still has Daystrom's info in him. He really doesn't know anything more about "irumodic syndrome" and the value of Picard's body than what he already said in previous episodes?

Oooh excellent point! He should have taken that cable from his neck and plugged it into the conference room monitor.

At this point Data is basically a synthetic human with android substraits.

If Picard is a 100% synthetic with 5% android like components...Data is maybe 15%?

I dunno, either way...he's basically human now and is mortal, etc.

I find a lot of Trek tie-in materials not really necessary (those "autobiographies" they keep churning out that comically get contradicted by new screen info almost immediately come to mind) but we could probably use a novel or comic book of Data meeting up with his "daughter" Soji.

I’m sad that T’Veen won’t be part of a Seven-led Star Trek: Legacy. Unless they’ll include an episode where she can be revived?
She was disintegrated, so probably not. BUT because she was fairly well in makeup, the actress could come back as another character (like Discovery)

One thing I just realized: they destroyed Picard’s biological body when they destroyed the Shrike.
They probably took it with them (Riker/Troi/Worf/Raffi), "Weekend at Picards"

Defeating Vadic with violence is the most un-Trek thing of the three seasons so far and that includes the Borg Queen singing.
And how do you neutralize someone who's killed multiple crew members, taken over the ship, can "goo-out" if need be?
Plus as others have said upstream, it's not a new concept.

lol
it's just silly. pump out the oxygen on the ship and knock everyone out then.

But it's like how she gave them a random 1 hour deadline the first time she met them.

Because she was tortured and cut up by the S31 scientist whose face she wears now. Her identity is formed in that moment — she exists there.

I agree! Or maybe he found out about it otherwise. But I don't know how else to understand his "how much of that goo shit did they pump into you?" question to Vadic.

He knew they were changelings before leaving for Daystrom, and they kinda look like walking buckets. I don’t think the changelings being able to essentially baptise a willing host into one of them was a project proteus thing anyway — that’s stuff that came afterwards by Vadics description.

Lol I still have my doubts about how much authority retired, fugitive Admiral Picard really has.

he’s the only guaranteed non-compromised Admiral in service on the only guaranteed non-compromised Starfleet vessel.
At this point, Jack is the only nom-Starfleet officer about the place, which practically makes him President of the Federation by default. Can’t guarantee the one on earth isn’t badly mixed gravy.

ahh. Bisto. (So should have had a changeling called that. And one called Marmite.)

She was really good, and even looked like young data. Such a waste. Still. Maybe for Legacy.
