These days you might be right, he’s rebelling against the orthodox teachings. I fear he may turn to stargate when he’s older.

Then the young one is wise...grasshopper.
If you already know the candlelight is fire, the meal was cooked a longntime ago.
Stargate SG-1 is amazing.
Agreed. (Aside from perhaps the first 3 or 4 episodes).
Farscape is absolutely brilliant.

(I'm not at all sure what it's got to do with Picard, but it's brilliant.)
Also agreed.

The joke being he wrote a short story for Farscape Magazine.

And I'm purchasing an 1812 DRD plush. I like Farscape too.

I believe I wrote at least three stories for the magazine -- and coedited the FS novels. And, as recently as 2019, emceed a cast reunion at a convention, right before the pandemic shut everything down. And ran an onstage game of FS charades featuring some of the original cast members.

So, yeah, Farscape and I go way back. An amazing show.

I’m a little late to the conversation, but I’m 43. I was born literally days before TMP premiered. My earliest memory of Star Trek is waking up in a hotel and seeing my dad watch part of “The Devil in the Dark.” I was probably 3 or 4. He and I would later go see every movie in the theater together from Search for Spock to Trek 2009. He and my mom retired and left the area I lived in at the time so it made it harder to see the movies together. But I watched TNG first run, a lot of DS9 but high school and college made that a little intermittent, started VOY but lost interest when the station that aired it put it at some weird hour (it aired on an ABC affiliate that aired it at like 10:30pm on Saturday’s to start and I’d record and watch it later, because… high school). I did watch ENT first run and all of the streaming shows as they’ve come out.

Stargate SG-1 is amazing.

SG-1 was great. I also loved Atlantis, even tough the character work could have been better. The space battles were amazing and some of the best I've seen from that era of Television though.

As for Farscape, it's still my favorite sci fi show ever. The fanbase might be small now, but it was (And continues to be) passionate.

I've finally caught up on Picard season 3. Quite the cliffhanger. Definitely enjoying this season, especially the music and the use of older characters. Call me a curmudgeon but I like the old TNG crew more than Raffi and Picard's other allies from season 1.

Farscape is absolutely brilliant.

(I'm not at all sure what it's got to do with Picard, but it's brilliant.)

It’s about the last time a series got a miniseries wrap up that depended fairly heavily on the lead having made a baby with an on again off again love interest going back to episode one of its original series. Though Crichton & Aeryn were more… just more.
Boom. Back on topic.
