Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

That'll probably be one of the final episodes. That's like worrying about depicting the Battle for Berlin when we haven't even reached Patton landing in North Africa in the chronology.

It's still about seven years away in-universe. If the show ends before a Season 7(likely) then they'll speed up the passage of time to show the accident and link everything up with his fate in TOS. I'm not even worried about it right now.

Or retcon it.

No matter when they have the accident, the fans will have a cow.

Never mind the fact that TOS took place 57 years ago (NO! NO! NO! IT'S TOO SOON! )

They'll give him a Producer credit.

The 34 producers per episode (INCLUDING Sonequa Martin-Green) were one reason Disco got the axe.

P+ and SH are now cutting it back to fourteen per episode.

Look at the credits on Picard. There's about twenty producers per episode (including Sir Patrick Stewart).

If Picard can do time jumps, so can SNW.

I stopped at the episode where they did gruesome things to people in a lab using drills and so forth.
None of that looked gruesome.
Maybe gruesome to a changeling, but it just looks like they were prodding at honey

Thank God.

Kirk ain’t coming back in Picard. Maybe someday but not here. Can we let this rest now?
AND Matalas said that Kirk wasn't coming back on April Fool's day. Also note this same article shows Shatner joking about Kirk's body on Twitter. Shatner is NOT the kind of guy who keeps up on new Trek, I doubt he watches Picard, he can barely remember his own Trek (He couldn't remember the name of the movie that Spock died in at a convention I was at in 2006. Leonard Nimoy who was with him--they were still on speaking terms at this time--reminded him it was Wrath of Khan).

The fact Shatner knows about the status of Kirk in Picard at all... It might not be anything but...

EDIT: Never mind, just realized that the Matalas interview is backdated a week before April 1.
